Re: The Valiant Rebirth

Welcome Ryan! We've been making some noise, huh? Let me take a shot at answering your questions... Why do you think there's a resurgence in Valiant books, not just from the die-hards, but for all collectors? [greg] I would venture to say that most Valiant collectors at this point truly enjoy ...

But all caps after being on the internet for more than a week = MORON.

When prices reach the level where I can trade for key silver age issues, I'm pulling the old switcheroo. What condition are you hoping for on the silver age switch? I doubt that Valiant issues will catch Silver Age key near mint... They probably won't catch Silver Age key fine... They might catch s...

Underground comics from R. Crumb had #0 issues in the 1970s, maybe even in the late 1960s. Valiant was definitely the first to do "chromium". Bloodshot #1's chromium was first "chromium cameo". X-O Manowar #0 was the first full-chromium cover. Valiant's coupon issues definitely p...

Re: Key Issues of Valiant

What are the key issues? I know there are RARE issues but I'm thinking along the lines of 1st apperance and important turning points. Here's my pre-unity list for what it's worth: Archer & Armstrong #1 Eternal Warrior #1 Magnus #0,1,5,6,12 Solar #1,3,10,14 Harbinger #1,3 Rai #0,1-5 Shadowman #1...

No estimates yet on the possibility of restoring old posts...
but the categories for "Everything Else" and non-Valiant discussions are back.

What was key about Solar #10 ? I believe I have read it but dont know why it commanded a high price (and still does - I cant get one under $10 to $13 bucks shipped) Solar #10 is the first appearance of the Eternal Warrior (Gilad Abrams). It's also the "last chapter" in the origin of Solar...

Greg, is it a manual process for you to update those lists? I have one to send in that I will probably update again when I go through the rest of my comics with a fine tooth comb, so if it is something you spend a lot of time on, I'll wait and do one. It's not 100% manual... it's about 5% manual. I...

I have an old database of the messageboard from October 2003. I might be able to salvage the "Reading the Valiant Universe" parts, but it could take a while. There was quite a bit of work in there, so don't start a new one for a couple weeks... when I have some time, maybe I can figure out...

This whole thing must have been awefully frustrating for you greg. I hope you aren't permanently damaged. Besides the fact that I collect Valiants? No, not too damaged, I don't guess. can we start sending in out inventories again? Sure, I think I have two or three already in my inbox w...

Thanks for the notes so far, guys...
By the way... the "edit function" is BLAZING!
I was always unhappy with the attempts to edit on the old board.

READ ME FIRST - The Message Board "RE-BOOT" 2/4/04

Ok, it looks like the messageboard is alive again. However, I'm using a new database... so the old stuff is... GONE! Well, maybe we can enjoy some of the same conversations even better the second time around! EVERYONE, including myself, is required to register on this board again... so just r...
