Re: New Ninjak series by Jeff Parker and Javier Pulido
You can’t win with some of these board members...People want established writers instead of first timers handling their beloved characters, but then a firmly established Jeff Parker isn’t good enough or hasn’t done enough recently... It’s a departure for sure from previous artists (and not my person...

 My guess is Divinity. +1 :hm: May 2021?! :censored: :censored: :censored: Definitely Divinity, the Unknown, and David Camp. If it was about the Man in the Red Suit why would the teaser be all blue? 2021 Solar is blue, duh. Red is soooo 1991. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: VALIANT FCBD 2020...Possible SPOILER!!!
I agree. With just an homage image to go with it. Could be a Divinity mini, a big X-over event, and/or a line-wide reboot a la Solar creating the “original” VALIANT Universe.nycjadie wrote:

VALIANT FCBD 2020...Possible SPOILER!!!
I won’t post it in writing here, but you can click the link for info on VALIANT’s FCBD 2020 book and a potentially big SPOILER for future plans: https://bleedingcool.com/comics/is-valiant-bringing-back-solar-man-of-the-atom-and-unity-in-2021/ I’m the end, it’s just a tease, but could offer some old ...

Re: New Ninjak series by Jeff Parker and Javier Pulido
It's not looking good for Valiant these days. Its like they are trying to be the kind of comic company that liberal arts college freshman talk about with the one or two seniors who still hang out in the campus coffee house. Dude, could you sound more deuchey? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jeff Parker’s Agents of Atlas series was one of my all time favorites. He does some good superhero/spy stuff.

Re: What comics are you reading now?
Anyone reading Strange Adventures? Long break after #1 due to the pandemic, but issue #3 dropped last week. It’s slow paced, but really sucks you in with the underlying mystery of what ACTUALLY happened on Rann. While I greatly enjoyed King’s acclaimed Mister Miracle, I did tire of the sketchy-at-be...

The Starbrand in the Marvel 616 Universe
Kevin Connor/616 Starbrand was killed recently and the Starbrand moved to a pregnant woman, who then also died leaving the Starbrand to pass to her child . Now Iron Man and Captain Marvel are protecting the Starbrand, who is likely the key to defeating Khonshu and/or Mephisto over in Avengers. Sent...

Continuing the Boom! Just starting to build out it’s larger world) The Red Mother (A bit slow paced but keeps you ...

Re: Dr Tomorrow #3 (2020)
Can you imagine Marvel or DC giving a novice writer the keys to write all of their characters in the first book they’d written? I think it shows a lack of respect for the Valiant U and fans that the editors can green light a story like this to a writer without a proven track record. Wouldn’t a one ...

Re: Dr Tomorrow #3 (2020)
I thought it was another solid entry. Is it a bit YA? Yeah. Is that not for everyone? Yeah. But taking it for what it is, it’s still probably one of the best books other than Rai that DMG Valiant has done so far. I did think the art took a step back this issue, and the pace was very fast and made fo...

Re: Why is no one talking about Dr Tmrw #3?!? It was AMAZING
SPOILER Loved the Man of the Atom reference and Armstrong's reaction. Anybody else think Armstrong had really tiny hands in that panel? Poor framing, poor artwork, I guess you could say. And I just had no idea Eternal Warrior could fly Those two panels were pretty bad, but it’s obvious EW is jumpin...

Re: Why is no one talking about Dr Tmrw #3?!? It was AMAZING
Haven’t read it yet, but have seen good reviews for the issue. Overall this series has been a pleasant surprise. That’s in contrast to the Visitor, which looked interesting but has been a huge disappointment. Hopefully Final Witness is closer to Dr. T than Visitor. Looking to the future (ha!) I woul...

Heading the way of Blockbuster and the big box book stores...a few larger chains that are more pop culture than comics will survive. The rest will move into mail order over brick and mortar for collectors as more casual readers turn to digital.

Resuming Valiant reading and now heartbroken?
Everything falls off right around Harbinger Wars 2. Life and a Death of Toyo Harada is the last book published under the DMG reign that was created during the VEI era. Other than that, Fallen World/Rai has been the only book relatively praised across the board. Heard some good reviews of Punk Mambo,...
