Re: Interesting posts from VEI on Facebook

I know someone posted some of the more interesting things that VEI has written on Twitter, but they've been saying quite a few cool things on Facebook comments that I thought I'd share with you non-Facebook people. Any chance of more hardcover collections next year? Been reading the Harbinger one a...

I know what you mean. Was surprised as well. Thought at first the board had been replaced completely. This is my first post in a while so will have to check out all the changes. Looks good, though.

As I recall, #9 was a pretty good issue as well. A&A #0 remains my single favorite Valiant issue. Very tough to pick between A&A 0-12, Solar 1-13, and Mags 0-16 as the better title runs. Solar is my personal favorite but all three are "brilliant".

Shooter, Layton, Massarsky, Hartz, BWS, KVH, Don Perlin and Bob Hall are the names I most associate with "the founding days" of Valiant, even though KVH and Bob Hall didn't really get going til right around, just after Unity. Also, Janet Jackson. Her color format really helped make the bo...

Only observation I would make about the print runs in relation to their success is that only Mighty Samson as I recall has failed to outsell the Stan Lee books from BOOM. Unfortunately, it appears licensing and production costs made them even less profitable than the BOOM books. Both of course launc...

With the DK books slow to release, have had some time to read other material. After Dark (Radical)....Was ok but nothing really new. Love the format that most Radical books use. I believe it is called prestige format? Driver for the Dead (Radical).....Not recommended. Just didn't do it for me. Unkno...

As delayed as these books have been, Jim might actually have the time to edit these books. Anyway, thought Mike represented well in the interview and addressed the issue with the delays about as well as he could. To me, since Solar #10 is the only DK book solicited for July and DH appears to be with...

Choas event was neat.. and the flow of the story was a little better than unity. Definitely. That's what I liked. I didn't have to read the same 5 pages 18 times. That is the very reason that Unity is such a classic. Certainly the CE books are an easier and faster read compared to the Unity books. ...

Unity is a better read than CE in a bathroom or anywhere else for that matter. Not to mention the historical value of the book.

I am VERY eager to read it as JC Vaughn has more show here. And man, I am REALLY wanting to read it......

As stated on the DK board, I'm probably more enthusiastic now than when Solar #1 was first solicited. Mags 3 and Samson 2 delivered big this week with Turok 2 and Solar 5 promising to continue the trend. Beginning with the 4-13 releases, DH appears to be establishing a 4-week shipping schedule in an...

Re: Eternal Warrior - One of the Better Ideas

If VEI can find a writer who can use the past and write him as a strong character in the present, they may have something exciting. I'm surprised this wasn't picked up as a movie option rather than Harbinger. Highlander. Yup. The first movie was ok. Avoid the others. From the episodes I've seen, un...

Re: Doctor Solar Origin Story For Dark Horse

The Doctor Solar Origin Story For Dark Horse runs in Doctor Solar #5-8. Shooter has said he believes it's his best story ever. JC Vaugn said it's the best script he's ever read. Sounds like they are trying to sell copies. There's more to a comic than just the script anyway. Certainly but the import...
