You need to mind your history. Vee Ditty was merely giving respect where respect is due! ! !
Yes sir.

Seriously, that was cool. :thumb:
Yes, it WAS cool of me to allow Vee Ditty to include my name and likeness in his comic picture book.
I can't help but wonder what you did to blow your chances of getting a full bit-part complete with dialogue in the earlier issue [XO #4?] V-Ditty mentioned... the one that got cut for 'editorial reasons'. :hm: :poke:
Some were not impressed with my... passionate performance.

Really great episode, the interview ones are always special.

Valiant should give you a guest every month, any body would make a good guest it wouldn't even have to be a writer. I'd also like to hear from arists, marketing or sales as those are things we also talk about on the boards a lot. Maybe Hunter or Atom to give us the skinny on FCBD, Summer of Valiant 2, Con appearances, over all sales, variant covers, printing/distribution issues, new intiatives, advice for free views etc.etc. Probe away!

You guys are doing great with the Simmons interview and now V Ditti...OTV is on a great run.

No pressure for episode #100

OTV 98 sucked ... I listened to about a minute of it... something about a pregnant Cylon.

I turned it off.

Thanks man, I appreciate it.

I would love to do a ton more, it's just a matter, as always, of time. Getting interviews and guests lined up is quite a bit more work. It's tough enough finding time for when we can record. Between my actual job, OTV, my art and drawing projects, various blogs, and garage band, I do about two jobs worth of work every week.

That said though, we already are working on getting the next guest lined up

I am really enjoying the podcasts and I wanted to compliment you all on the great job you are doing. As a Valiant "Newbie", the podcast discussions are helping me understand the storylines and characters in a much better way. I recently went back to the first 10 podcasts and started from the beginning. I wish I would have listened to Episode 6 or 7, which covered "How to Collect Valiant Comics," before I started my Valiant collection. I learned several helpful tips from that episode and realized a few mistakes too.

Since a few years has elapsed since that "How to Collect" episode aired, I suggest you re-visit the topic on a future podcast. Maybe some tips on how to collect the new VEI material, especially the variant covers. One thing that has really helped me is Greg's "Cover Database." I actually printed out every page of all the covers from each title and I carry them with me as I visit comic book stores or conventions. That way I always know if I am buying the correct copy and that I am paying a fair price. I also printed out all the Gold issues, V.V.S.S. issues, etc. and this has been a great resource to have with me.

I usually listen to financial podcasts since I am a financial planner, but the Only the Valiant podcasts have quickly become my favorite podcasts for my business travel. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Michael! Glad you're enjoying the show.

It would be pretty cool to revisit the "how to collect" discussion, especially in light of new Valiant books to collect.

I cannot believe I forgot about Hera. My favourite scene in the whole show is where Kara Thrace is playing the piano and while that is going on, an evil Boomer is collecting Hera from the daycare centre.

I hate April Fool's Day. Not because I don't have a good sense of humor. I love the pranks and fake news stories. It's because my wife love this holiday in the most sadistic way possible. She is excellent at setting up a good April Fool's joke, and she does so to everyone she knows. My only defense is catching a few April Fool's Day jokes in the morning online to remind me what day it is, otherwise I have quite the painful day. She spares no expense to make sure she gets me (sometimes multiple times). She even has multiple "fake" pranks to throw me off. Seriously, she had 3 "fake" pranks one year, one of which actually got me just as good as a normal person's prank would have.

The most memorable was 4-5 years ago: I was at work and very busy - and she knew this. She had someone I had never met (and she was only somewhat acquainted with) at her workplace call me from their cellphone and pretend to be a police officer who had arrested my wife. My wife actually wrote a script for her to read from, and she said that my wife had been pulled over for speeding, but got thrown in jail because she became belligerent and attacked the police officer. (My wife used to be quite the loose cannon, so this was not unbelievable at the time - and she knew it.) She gave me instructions on how and where to bail her out, then hung up. My wife never called back. About 1-2 minutes of extreme stress, I realized what day it was and called my wife's cell phone, chastised her and hung up. She was laughing the whole time. She's evil. I don't ever want to get on her bad side. Her mother often stops speaking to her for a week or so following whatever prank she plays on her.
*SQUEE* your science, I have a machine gun.
