over the past years I've picked up entire title runs of the new universe books...all on the very cheap, .10 to .25 an issue, but I haven't sat down and read any of it...they are sitting in a long box waiting...
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

I was laughed at when i tried them all way back in the day, but always loved them.
DP7 Justice and Starbrand were great reads.

I never thought any were as rubbish as some folks make out, they were trying something new and for me it worked.

(Wadsworth: One plus two plus two plus one.
Miss Scarlet: Uh-uh, there was only one shot that got the chandelier. That's one plus two plus *one* plus one.
Wadsworth: Even if you were right, that would be one plus one plus two plus one, not one plus *two* plus one plus one.
Miss Scarlet: Okay, fine. One plus two plus one... Shut up!)

Truly - I never read any of them, and am unqualified to judge - but Kickers, Inc. was a silly title - even if it was the best thing the New Universe put out.

I can just remember thinking it never had a chance from the first day.

It was amusing, but sure quite silly to think it could last more than 6 issues, so they did good with what they did.

Nightmask was a cool character - I liked Spitfire until they made her into a biometallic paranormal.

Have read only the first 2 issues of Starbrand. Been awhile but I recall liking issue 1 better than the second. Both were ok but never read further than that. Always been another read higher on my priority list.
