Noticed something about MRF #3 recently

Post by sonicdan »

I never noticed till recently this homage to the Gold Key Magnus #1.

Here's a scan of Valiant's Magnus Robot Fighter #3 page:
(Note the last 2 panels)
<img src=http://sonicdan.com/comics/MRF3pg6.jpg width=800></img>

...and here's the prelim:

<img src=http://sonicdan.com/Valiantart/MRF3pg6prelim.jpg width=800></img>

Gold Key Magnus #1 panels scans:
<img src=http://sonicdan.com/comics/MRF1scanA.jpg width=600></img>

<img src=http://sonicdan.com/comics/MRF1scanB.jpg width=800></img>

close up of the Valiant panels:

<img src=http://sonicdan.com/comics/MRF3pg6p5_6.jpg width=800></img>

I can't believe I had not noticed before.
Forgive me if this has already been pointed out!

Can brag and say I had seen it. I've had a preference for those pages because of their connection to the classic series. Cool to see that it was so specifically mentioned in the prelim art.

I had a feeling that you, of all people, would have been aware of this. :)
Surprised that so many others, including myself, was not!

Here is the original page. There are no notes on it about coping the Gold Key panels.
