I choose Skarsgard additionally since he is a native Swede and though it's not Celtic, he'd manage the accent easily enough.

Hunnam is not tall enough, imo.
Skarsgard is too pretty-boy. I Envision Aric being a fairly tall 6-foot something, but not all cut with every muscle showing like actors have today. You can be big and immensely strong without looking like you spent 150 000 years on Gym equipment. That would seem more realistic to me.

the amazing thing about television and movies is their special effects department, in particular make-up.

Most modern actors are going to be cut because they do spend 150 000 years in a gym, even pretty boy(s) Skarsgard and Hunnam.

But I will take the actor I think is better, Skarsgard, over the one who's on the show I enjoy more, Sons of Anarchy.

...though both shows are pretty good, imo.

Lets not forget the lengths that actors will go to "legitimize" the role

...and now I feel the need to go eat some red meat, watch some football and some swimsuit specials just to change up how this morning is starting off.
What we need is innovation and even revolution—but not so much in the form of marketing ploys and doohickeys. What is needed is bold creative vision, excellent stories, and brilliant storytelling, in a word, entertainment. -- Jim Shooter

It's frightening what he did to himself. There's one scene where he reaches up and stretches and you swear your looking at his frigging skeleton.

Yes, you do. It's an awesome movie. But, Bale is sickeningly thin.

So crazy that he did that for the sake of the role. I love that aspect of his character in The Prestige... but he did it for real in The Machinist... Very impressive. As I said... I gotta see it.

Bale wanted to actually LOSE MORE THAN HE DID in The Machinist, but the Director was like "No way, Jose"
