2012 Halloween Valiant Free View -Pay It Forward- w/ Photos
I was inspired by Carson's Valiant Free View idea and decided to celebrate Halloween today by giving away 13 lucky Valiant comics at my LCS (House of Secrets) in Burbank, CA.
Carson's original topic is here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=38461" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The store owner was very happy to get the free books and will be passing them along to customers who aren't familiar with Valiant comics. They thought the idea was great and were very happy to do it.
After clearing out some books, I feel great for doing this and I know it can help grow the Valiant fan base too!
The LUCKY 13 books included:
Archer & Armstrong #1 2nd Print (2 copies)
Harbinger #1 Regular (1 copy)
X-O Manowar #1 Regular (2 copies)
X-O Manowar #1 Pullbox (5 copies)
X-O Manowar #1 3rd Print (1 copies)
X-O Manowar #1 4th Print (2 copies)
Thank you Carson for providing me this idea to do this and pay it forward.
Here's some photos documenting the event.

Thanks guys. I give the credit to Carson... It was his genius idea. All I did was print the forms. LOL.
Actually, I did make sure that all the 13 books are in 'new' condition. I'm not sure if people would like my beater copies. I also re-bagged all the books so they look crisp and clean.
I would have included a few more books, but the extra Harbinger #1's I have were signed by Dino, Josh and Atom! from the release party.
I did think about including some VH1 #1 books, but I doubt they will be appropriate to use.

NICE JOB ELERY!!!
You really cranked it up a notch with the costumes.
I hope your 13 books translate to 13 new Valiant readers.

Yes. That's Amy, the female behind the counter, wearing the Vampire costume. She's knows her Valiant comics for sure.
Maybe some of you recognize her if you watch G4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gwDaya0ae4" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I believe she's worked as an actress in movies and TV. Whats really interesting is she really knows a lot about comics.
Females do go inside comic book shops. My wife comes with me each time I visit a store. She's more into tabloids though.

Oh, and congratulations on getting your wife to go into the comic shops with you. My fiance will sit in the car. Every time.
