Love hearing anyone talking about Valiant. However, I could do without the sarcasm. Kinda comes off as mean spirited and like you could do better. I'm all for critiques, and of course you don't have to like absolutely everything, but don't be snide about it. As a listener and valiant fan, I kind of took it personally.
Like I said, you can not like something, and still talk about it intelligently. but a podcast about Valiant might not be the place to make fun of it.
Thanks

I think I speak for all of us hosts when I say we have enjoyed every book published by valiant to date. There has not been a single weak issue. However, at the same time it is our job to dissect the issue in so far as possible, to address the opinions of everyone (at our own presumptions). Any sarcasm is most likely said in jest in order to bring a degree of humour to the criticism. I'm almost certain there has been some miscommunication though. I doubt there was any intentional snide or mean spirit on our part. But the fact that you interpreted it that way is a problem we have to address. I know if I'm ever sarcastic it is because I enjoy the goofy side or playfulness or it all -- I wouldn't want it to come across as anything else.

You must remember some call sarcasm the highest form of wit, while others say the lowest. It's circumstantial. As an Englishman, you can imagine my opinion on it. So while you find it a gripe, others may enjoy it.

Thanks for the feedback though. It's always appreciated and it's great to have a reminder to review some of the mechanism of the show. :)

Listened to half of this one on my drive into work this morning. Always great to hear viewpoints on the new Valiant from guys (unlike me) who don't have all the original Valiant books stuck in their heads.

I just wanted to let the Valiant loyal know that Cultural Wormhole has added a Valiant focused podcast to our family of shows. It's called Valiant Future and we will be focusing on the current Valiant books and beyond. This is done from the perspective of two comic fans that are new to Valiant comics, but are super-excited about getting on board of a new universe at the very beginning!

The folks over at Only the Valiant have been doing an awesome job for a few years and we hope that some of you can find room for a second podcast that sings the praises of Valiant! Episode 1 is now available!

I really enjoy your podcasts. I listen to this one and the Avengers podcast. I really like the Avengers one, because my Marvel IQ is very low. It helps to listen to your podcast as I learn some background, and (in the case of the Omega Flight appearance) I learn that I'm not supposed to know anything about some of the characters.

Are you certain that this problem is just limited to the subject of Marvel?

We like fire. Remember that one time, when we burned down the white house? -Oh wait, Chiclo wants to be on our side here... crap! Nevermind!!!

Most of us HATE Harper though. Personally I don't and won't ever own a gun because I have no need or use for it. But i'm ok with the concept of people owning guns, though I do believe more steps need to be made to keep them out of the hands of crazy people.
