Favourite Valiant Writer 2012
Oh, I just discovered the poll option
I love these, as the first year of Valiant is in the bag I thought it would be fun to see what everybody liked best (and it will give us something to do in the down time).
I'll get the ball rolling with this one- For me I have to give the nod to Josh Dysart, what he is doing with Harbinger is amazing. If ever their was a sleeper book this is it.

All good, and it was a hard choice between Zircher and Dysart, but ultimately I love Harbinger the most-est.

I agree I find Shadowman very intriguing but that said I think what Dysart is doing in Harbinger will one day be a milestone in great comics.pixierosa wrote:All good, and it was a hard choice between Zircher and Dysart, but ultimately I love Harbinger the most-est.

Wish I could vote Dysart AND Venditti, but since I can only pick one I have to go with Dysart.

Man, they're all good, but I gotta give the nod to Dysart barely.

Dysart gets the edge over V-Ditti again for me. I love both titles, but they are great for different reasons
Completely agree with that assessment of Harbinger. JJ/PZ are a close third for me, and really every writer here has had some truly glorious moments of comic storytelling excellence in their respective titles so far.hawkeyeps wrote:I agree I find Shadowman very intriguing but that said I think what Dysart is doing in Harbinger will one day be a milestone in great comics.pixierosa wrote:All good, and it was a hard choice between Zircher and Dysart, but ultimately I love Harbinger the most-est.

Put me in the V-ditti camp.
Dysart is really good, though. I have read several other of his works in the last 6 months and they are all outstanding too.

Dysart a very close second, the standard of these 2 writers is first class!

Re: Favourite Valiant Writer 2012
POWER RANKINGS!
1) Dysart. Harbinger is my sleeper title. He has made some compelling characters.
2) Venditti. X-O is great. Re-read 1-4 since the TPB came out and it was a great way to relaunch Valiant.
3) Van Lente. I may have to add Archer & Armstrong to the pull once I have more money.
4) Swierczynski.
5) Zircher/Jordan
