The look pretty cool... I'm guessing a summer release on these, comic stores only, probably close to $20 a pop.

Re: A VALIANT TOY LINE!!!
Somebody mentioned official news would probably come out around SDCC, with a XMas release possible. That would make sense to me. $14.99-19.99 is a likely price point with limited release.etos45 wrote:The look pretty cool... Re: A VALIANT TOY LINE!!!
These would be awesome!
I havent bought any toys or action figures or anything in many many years, I had a ton of D&D/pathfinder minis before, but parted with them when I moved.
These would be great scattered around my office and book shelves
Thanks for the pics and info!

Aye, this is pretty dang exciting. So, who wants to buy some of my SW collection so I can make room for these (and those penguins I have yet to get my hands on)?

That was me.grendeljd wrote:A toy line would be awesome. Didn't some of you guys who went to NYCC hear from Dino that they are in talks with someone to produce some figures? I seem to recall someone saying they got to talk to a toy rep guy with Dino...
The snippet from my NYCC Report was...
A little while later I ran into Dinesh again as he was speaking with another gentleman. As I approached, he introduced me to his companion (his name eludes me) and explained he was a rep for a comic-related merchandise manufacturer. Toys!
Dino: “So tell us, what do you want? Now’s your chance, don’t blow it,” he chuckles. “Uh, figures. Give us action figures.” His friend chimes in “Articulated?” “Uh, no, I’ll just have them on my shelf, I don’t need them to be articulated.”
Dino starts to swear me to secrecy, then reverses himself. “Well, it’s not for certain but I don’t see why you can’t tease the guys on the board with this.”

I agree that it seems to point toward a shadowman figure, but it looks like he has one of those things they use to herd cattle with in his hand.BugsySig wrote:Here is another teaser image from the same designer, David Vonner:
I think that should serve to end the speculation...but if you require more proof, Vonner posted this on twitter--his favorite letter:

Re: Is this a new VALIANT toy line???
Actually, I was thinking that if he wasn't CEO yet, it might not have been his decision.jmatt wrote:Maybe it's why he become CEO.greg wrote:Was that BEFORE Dino became CEO?jmatt wrote:Dino starts to swear me to secrecy, then reverses himself. “Well, it’s not for certain but I don’t see why you can’t tease the guys on the board with this.”
Now that he is CEO, it might BE his decision.

Re: A VALIANT TOY LINE!!!
Someone mentioned 2-packs......
I hate 2-packs. I like having individual figures, if they want to make a 2-pack than make sure that the two figures are available individually too otherwise I will be kinda ticked off as I really prefer to have single carded figures without obstructing how they're displayed because one card is double sided to support two figures.

I was just thinking two packs are good for those figures that may lack some appeal (like the plain clothed Pete or Kris).

Re: A VALIANT TOY LINE!!!
Personally I hate these internet teaser images because they're so usually fake, but regardless of whether these are genuine or not, I'm sure that one day there will be Valiant toys based on today's new characters. I'd like a Shadowman as and when one comes around
