Valiant Fans Members - Non Active Members Check In -

This is sort of fun thread. The Valiant Fans site gets many daily unique vistors... (members, non-members, lurkers...etc)
According to Greg (moderator), around 200 to 250 people are here more than once a day, and around 250 to 400 at least once per day.

I am probably only seeing 50 active members on a daily basis.

So who are these 200 to 250 people....

Possibilities:
1. members (active)
2. members (lurkers / non-active)
3. non members

I'm encouraging members (lurkers / non-active) members to check in. Just for fun. Maybe discuss why many non-active members do not post.

December 2012 - 4,007 unique visitors - 3,388 one-timers - 619 repeaters (not necessarily members, but regulars)
January 2013 - 3,769 unique visitors - 3,152 one-timers - 617 repeaters
February 2013 - 3,345 unique visitors - 2,687 one-timers - 658 repeaters

Pretty consistent that around 620-660 people come back often throughout a month... but how often?

If we isolate a single week, it looks like:

Week of March 3-9, 2013 - 1,134 unique visitors - 654 one-timers - 480 repeaters
... so around 500 of our ~650 repeaters are here more than once a week

A daily view:
Sunday, March 10, 2013 - 274 unique visitors - 86 one-timers - 188 repeaters (at least twice in one day)
Let's see about a Wednesday...
Wednesday, March 13, 2013 - 377 unique visitors - 122 one-timers - 255 repeaters

... so around 200 to 250 people are here more than once a day, and around 250 to 400 at least once per day.

Yeah, I have to say as a newer member, I would look at the boards for pricing or just for general information (chronological reading order in-universe, release order reading order, that kind of thing). It wasn't until the reboot started that I really wanted to discuss the stories of the new ones.

Maybe the people aren't that social and just want to get the Valiant News/thoughts from other fans? Or maybe some aren't sure about the VU yet and are just browsing/seeing what others have to say about it?

When I was new here, I was pretty shy. But look at me now. I've bought comics from members, subscribed to Intelli-Corps, had free comics sent to me, and helped raise awareness about tacos.

I'm not saying that any of you lurkers can be as awesome as I am, but it sure can't hurt to try. So get to posting already.

Hey longtimeish member.
I was fairly involved for a while, at least during the epic GOTA/Legion meltdown, as well as some other things.

Work/Life/grad school have forced me to be less active on the board, but I pop in from time to time.

Honestly wished I had more time to chat since all the time I've been here, until the reboot, I came and talked a bit about this and that, but never had a chance to stay around as much as I'd like.

I usually drop in and see what's going on from time to time and drool over the unreleased art and Bob Hall sketches that get posted from time to time.

Speaking of which I do have a question that needs answered, off to see if I can find an answer now.

I lurked for years before really saying too much. I can't really say why, I guess I didn't really know how to jump in. But since Valiant's return, I've been more active. I dropped off for a while since I quit reading the books. I hope to remedy that. I also check in from time to time without logging on - I need to change my password to something I can remember.

Don't let not reading the books hold you back. It's never stopped me.
