What We Learned - June 2014 Edition
Enjoyed writing these up last month, thought I'd keep the love coming! Hope you all enjoy!
I present to you: What We Learned from Valiant’s June Solicitations!!
<potential spoilers below!!>
1) I’m On The Hunt, I’m After You
After a prelude in X-O #25 last month, Armor Hunters #1 is finally here. Big promises are being made of this event, with Dino going so far as to say it is “the biggest and most daring undertaking we’ve ever attempted.” Big sounds right as this event spreads across 18 issues, including the four-part AH series and…
2) Two Is Company, Three Is A Crossover
… two 4 part story arcs beginning in Unity #8 and X-O Manowar #26, starting in June. Promises of surprise guests (rhymes with Farmer Deans, perhaps?) and more info on the origin of the X-O armor make for mucho reading heading our way... and that’s not even including the Harbinger and Bloodshot mini’s hitting next month.
3) Nothing. I Learned… Nothing
The solicitation for Rai #2 was remarkably non-descript. Well, that’s not accurate. Perhaps we should say remarkably similar. To last months. Different words, same solicitation. So yeah, nothing new revealed here.
4) Survivor Or Big Swerve?
Harbinger #24 continues (or ends?) the Death of a Renegade arc, and for those of us trying to figure out who gets it by looking at promotional material, the cover reveals a very beat up and distraught Kris Hathaway. So is she surviving, or is this a red herring? Regardless, the solicit promises that the next months milestone issue is going to change EVERYTHING!!
5) This Is The End, My Only Friend, The End…
Shadowman: End Times wraps up with issue #3. With Valiant staying mum on the future of the title (aside from saying Milligan has loads of story still to be told)and the surprise reappearance of his father in issue #16, what could this mean for Jack making out of this series alive?
6)Speaking Of Obligatory Doors References…
…Archer & Armstrong’s new arc, American Wasteland, appears to be silly with them. The Lizard King in last month’s solicit, and now mention of finding out the truth about the Doors… could Archer & Armstrong’s newest foe be a very not-dead Jim Morrison?
7) Was It Over When The Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor?
Bloodshot & H.A.R.D. Corps #23 continues the Vs. arc with round 2. Valiant has been keeping quiet on this one as well, mentioning only that the title will be ending. With Bloodshot getting set to star in an Armor Hunters mini next month, are we to assume this will be the final issue? And what will happen to the HC?
8) And We’re Back!
The ERA makes their return in Quantum and Woody #12. With the shocking revelation at the end of Goat #0 still fresh on everyone’s mind, will the return of our boys fearsome foes signal more Goat-centric revelations to come?

If you were to post these regularly to CBR or Newsarama's message boards, maybe they would pick it up as a monthly article?

I'd post them over on CBR... Does Newsarama even have a message board? I must be blind because I can't find one.
