Great Comicvine interview

Post by hunter_peterson »

Most of the Valiant higher-ups were in on this interview. It was a really comprehensive and fantastic interview about Valiant First, the company's journey so far and the future of it.

http://www.comicvine.com/articles/inter ... 00-148339/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Key things that pop out to me:

Dinesh says that they considered expanding Valiant First three months forward and that three more books will happen then. He hinted that Ninjak may be one. I would reckon that Bloodshot and HARDCorps seperately will be the other two, though a Timewalker one is also distinctly possible. Either way, this means that the lack of news so far on the fate of many books and the general shape of the line is intentional and will lead to Valiant First-level announcements!

Bloodshot sounds like he's joining Unity during Armor Hunters and afterwards, which I kind of expected given Kindt's prior use of him and the pre-Unity connection making him and Shadowman likely recruits for the team.

A movie is likely to be announced at the end of the year. Probably Bloodshot, with Matthew Vaughn directing. OBVIOUSLY THIS WILL BE AMAZING!

Harbinger is building towards a huge 25 event, like XO did. This might mean the other books will also do the same, which will be great!

A lot to be happy about, can't wait to hear more about all of these things! :thumb:

Fantastic interview! Been hoping Valiant would give us a "State of the Union" for a while now, and this fits the bill. Excited for the next several months, and to hear more of the Valiant First plans!

Thinking we should all make an effort to get word of this interview out there. Twitter, Facebook and the like... let's spread the word!

Great interview! Very excited for Doctor Mirage and what is coming up in Rai and Armor Hunters already, but this has really peaked my interest over a few things.

Glad to hear 3 more titles are coming. If A&A and Q&W continue and replace Armor Hunters and Delinquents on the schedule, and Bloodshot is one new title that continues its numbering, could that mean three additional titles, or possibly include those? EW is likely to continue as well. Ninjak, HARD Corps and Timewalker seem like the most logical additions if there were to be some. Generation Zero could be a possibility as well.

That was a truly great interview. The guys really do care about the books. They were fans, first, and they get it. I am so glad they've not missed a book, yet, which is a fact I've brought up with the comic shops in my area. All of whom were stunned when they thought about it and realized it is true. I can't think of any company that has gone two years without having at least one delay.

Great interview

Very exciting

The interviewer did a nice job touching on the questions that we discuss and talk about here

I have feeling that they will test run Gen Zero in Harbinger for a few arc's (after issue 25) with the idea of spinning them off to their own title.

Bloodshot to Unity makes a lot of sense .. and maybe also Shadowman for an arc or two but I think Milligan has his own plans for Jack so they probably wont want to tie his hands too much.

Excited about Dr. Mirage (but what will the great RDLT do between now and then? :( )

Ninjak having his own title is just a matter of time...

And speaking of time, Ivar the Timewalker is probably the title I am most looking forward to seeing at some point (of the characters that don't have an announced series yet)
Ha! Yeah! Nice! Any of those dudes in your head mosh?! - Flamingo

Thanks for posting this, really great stuff in there. I know these guys need to be good at hyping the line in public interviews, but there is always so much more to it than that... I love hearing the passion they obviously have for the universe. :thumb:
