Out of all the current, working writers in the industry today, who would you most like to see take a stab at a Valiant book?

Since I doubt this will come to pass I might as well put them on something that sounds interesting to me.

Lula Lee by John Layman
Spylocke by Ed Brubaker
Sandria Darque by Nancy Collins (not sure if she writes comics anymore, though)
Livewire and Stronghold by Gail Simone
Shadowman by Grant Morrison

Garth Ennis on Hard C.O.R.P.S. or Bloodshot would be pretty awesome. They would have to rein him in a bit, but if they did it would be pretty great.

-Shadowman by Snyder/Capullo (the team!)
-Eternal Warrior by Ed Brubaker (cinematic Gilad comic- almost no words, just badass moments)
-Quantum & Woody by Morrison/Quitely (seriously, Imagine it)
-Harbinger by Dysart (what?) or Vol. 02 by Jason Aaron (I love how he gives such a distinct voice to a LOT of characters, and he has a great sense of humour- much like our own JD, who is the best writer for this title, anyway)
-Unity by Rick Remender (but Kindt, like JD in Harby, fits perfectly)
-John Layman on A&A. Perfect choice, indeed. :thumb:
-Bloodshot by Garth Ennis.

Just some dream pairings of writer/book, but you didn't ask for realism. :kidaround:

Does it have to be a working comic writer? I'd love to see John Scalzi on an Armorines series. (Any other Scalzi fans on the board?)

Outside of that, I like what Soule is doing with Letter 44 and She-Hulk. The latter makes me think he'd be a good fit for Q&W.

Or Kurt Busiek on anything. I'm loving the new Astro City series.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Ok I'm going to weigh in:

Charles Soule on Bloodshot - he'd absolutely crush on that title
Matt Fraction on Quantum & Woody
Jason Aaron on Eternal Warrior

If getting specific, maybe some kind of spin-off from Harbinger of even PRS.
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

I like Gage on the book (although I would like him to carry on with a separate and distinct HARDCorps book; but with VEI's publishing plan, who knows how likely that is - VEI excepted of course), but Rucka would be an excellent fit for Bloodshot. Well HARDCorps too, but I digress....
