Riffing on my joke in the "bet" thread about the Abbey Road cover, you'll notice that with this cover art everyone is looking forward and watching the movie... with the exception of Pete.
Pete's the Walrus! OMG they're gonna kill Pete!

Re: Harbinger #22 Wondercon Exclusive
I love this cover so much
Underneath the nostalgia and innocence of this captured moment is something emotionally devastating. The ominous pinkish sky, the name of the movie (obviously) and Pete looking towards us - distraught and in pain. Everyone else is playing their part and relaxed while Pete can't bear to watch. He knows how this movie ends. The glowing eye can also indicate that he is trying with his powers to keep the facade of peace and happiness going but knows it will have to end eventually. This is probably one of my favorite covers i've ever seen from VEI. It doesn't hit you over the head with the sadness of this arc ... instead it sort of sneaks up on you which makes it all the more emotionally powerful. I'd love to get the original from Walsh if he was ever to try and sell it.
