Is it the same seller from 2014? That was the story I was told when I bought that one.nycjadie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 6:27:39 pm I bought this, and keep meaning to post on it. Been looking for this one for some time. I paid $300 plus shipping. Condition is high. I’m guessing a 9.6. The owner said he got it from his friend who worked in a video games store and it went straight into the bag and board.
Guy said he has other stuff, like BWS signed books. Old school collector. Really happy to have this.
I just noticed in the first post that the book came from Fair Oaks. My GF lives a few miles from there, and I’m there a few time a month, at least.
This is either the 3rd or 4th known copy... 3rd if it's the same guy.

Looks like it was. Horrorwalker? I clearly paid a lot more for my copy. It is a beauty though. I'll get it graded at some point when I have more than a few to send in to CGC, and a bit of time.greg wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 10:14:20 pmIs it the same seller from 2014? Yep, the seller was horrorwalker - April 6, 2014 - so the three known copies (as of 2014) are still 3 known copies.nycjadie wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 8:46:19 amLooks like it was. Horrorwalker? Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the Bloodshot movie. My father needed to go to the ER for heart problems. He's fine now, but I didn't make it to the theater on the 12th. Haven't been able to go since.

Looks like it was a "Buy It Now" at $400. (I didn't win it.)

Yes, at some point. I’m stuck in VA. My kids are back in WA. I have a lot of other drama outside of the virus. I look forward to the world getting back to normal. At some point after that, I’ll get that and a few other books graded. The world has gone mad.magnus20009 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 11:44:27 amAwesome purchase. Years ago on this board, some guy said he was SURE that he saw a Solar #10 white cover once.battlepark wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 10:46:11 am on the 1st page someone said something about a Solar 10 white cover?

We laughed at him until he left, because he kept getting even MORE SURE when we told him, "uh, no".
At some point, a Valiant fan project "created" a Solar #10 white cover, just for the heck of it.
I'm still convinced that the guy was just confused in his memory of Solar #10 with Fantastic Four #371.
https://comics.gocollect.com/uploads/co ... 593635.jpg
...since it's easy to believe he did see an actual comic that had a white cover, was embossed, and 1993 was the same time Solar #10 was a big deal.
It's also possible someone just turned the cover of Solar #10 (or the 2nd print) inside out, since the inside is white.
It's "possible" that a copy exists where the embossing was on the inside, instead of the outside, of the cover of a real Solar #10 (or the 2nd print) but no one has produced a copy to prove it.
If it was Fantastic Four #371, then it's the same "memory" that everyone has of Sinbad playing a genie in a movie.
It didn't happen, but we can all picture it happening. (Mandela Effect)

No problem at all --- that's 4 known surviving copies in 24 years since it was released.
Surely there are more...

I will probably develop a "memory" of the existence of the alleged Sinbad movie at some point because I have read plenty of times that other people remember that (although when I originally read that, I was sure they were just getting confused with the Shaq movie).greg wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 12:30:31 pmYears ago on this board, some guy said he was SURE that he saw a Solar #10 white cover once.battlepark wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2020 10:46:11 am on the 1st page someone said something about a Solar 10 white cover?

If only four copies are known in the last 24 years. Why aren't this covers more popular? Since, it's a once in a life time cross over. It's even rarer than the Bloodshot error print

Re: Only the SECOND known copy of a Valiant book located 4/10/14
From what is known of this book, it was supposed to be a "free with purchase" of the Iron Man / X-O Manowar video game at EB Games (Electronics Boutique) back-in-the-day.
Either they all got thrown away, or they still exist with the cover ripped off because the regular X-O Manowar Retailer Review is inside. That being said, if I got a free comic (with purchase) expecting Iron Man or at least X-O Manowar (that had 68 issues) and got a black and white preview of a reboot X-O and no Iron Man, I'd be pretty mad. So, it's also likely that these were "recalled" or at maybe "please destroy" and Electronics Boutique did just that. Ripping off the covers and having a free X-O Manowar preview (not associated with the Iron Man / X-O game) seems like the kind of generic junk that got thrown in the bag pretty regularly at stores... and then thrown away.
It's the outer cover that's peculiar about this book, having only 4 known in 24 years... but there could be hundreds of them in closets around the country with video game instruction manuals and copies of video game weekly, or something similar.
