Re: Valiant Announces Valiant First Exclusives for C2E2
Anyone else bothered by the fact that Chicago Comic Exhibition & Expo (CCEE) is abbreviated to C2E2?
It doesn't save any space (both are 4 characters. I think they were trying to emulate E3, but that is one less character than abbreviating the Electronics Entertainment Expo as EEE.
Just me, then....
Okay. Anyone happen to know where I could get a pangalactic gargleblaster?

I think it's mostly that CCEE is difficult to say verbally, whereas C2E2 is easy. I'd say it's probably a more distinctive thing when written out than CCEE as well.lorddunlow wrote:Anyone else bothered by the fact that Chicago Comic Exhibition & Expo (CCEE) is abbreviated to C2E2?

Re: Valiant Announces Valiant First Exclusives for C2E2
I had one at a room party at a World Con a number of years ago. (I think it was in Boston, but I guess it doesn't really matter where.) And it wasn't a real Pangalactic Gargle Blaster, as it didn't feel like my brain had been smashed at all. But it did look funky. They used dry ice to make it look all smoky. One of the ingredients was mouthwash of some sort. Don't know what else they put in it.lorddunlow wrote:Okay. Anyone happen to know where I could get a pangalactic gargleblaster?
More important question: are there ever any decent parties the weekend of NYCC? Since I'm a local I never stay in a hotel, but I'd certainly go to one for the parties if they were decent.
Justin, what do all of the creators do after NYCC?

I can just imagine a person being turned away with a fake pass, "This isn't the comic con you're looking for."kjjohanson wrote:I think they just want to be a Star Wars droidJustinJordan wrote:I think it's mostly that CCEE is difficult to say verbally, whereas C2E2 is easy. Re: Valiant Announces Valiant First Exclusives for C2E2
Wow, wish I could go! I saw where Emanuella Lupacchino will be at another comic con in Chicago later this year, too. I'd love to meet her! Her cover to Harbinger 7, the Flamingo variant, is my favorite Valiant cover, and I enjoyed her work on Archer and Armstrong, too.
But, it's not to be. Sigh. I can't afford to go to Chicago anytime soon.

Awesome cover. Whomever ends up going needs to snag me one (or preferably two).

Man, one of these days I want to go to one of these major cons and meet some of you guys. It'd be cool to put faces to some of the board members on here.

Bars or parties. Many of the parties are private, but I go to the Multibversity/Image party every year. Last year I did that, The Walking Dead party and....something else.kjjohanson wrote:I had one at a room party at a World Con a number of years ago.
