2 different paper quality on VEI Bloodshot Gold #1s?

So as I was cleaning out my Treasure Chest I came across something strange....

I have 2 different versions of VEI Bloodshot #1 GOLD. They have different paper qualities, one is much thicker than the other.

I was wondering if anyone who has multiple Bloodshot Golds could check to see if they can find the same thing.

100% for sure I have 2 different thickness of paper.

Here is a pic of the top of them. You can see that one of them does not lay flat, and the other does. This is the way I received both of them.

Curious.

All of mine have/had the thicker cardboard stock covers, including the two CGC 9.8's I garnered.

Would like to see some full-cover hi-res scans of the "flat" version, if you ever get time to take some.

No clue on that one, because none of mine lay "flat"; they all look "wide-body", like your copy behind the flat version.

I have 3 copies of Bloodshot #1 Gold and all three are First Printings with heavier card stock covers. The pages inside appear to be a little thicker than the normal pages in a book.

Wouldn't surprise me if some got run off with the "regular" paper stock before switching to the better quality for the gold edition.
