Harbinger Wars = HardCorps= Kurt Russell as Major Palmer? (he'd be *SQUEE* as Charlie... my dream cast as my fave Valiant/VEI character)

Speaking of Comicbookmovie.com, here's a link to their piece on it. If it gets enough 'thumbs up' at the bottom of the article, it may get onto the front page!

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/ ... /?a=119129
do I have to log in or sumthin ..in order for it to register my thumbs up? It says 10 next to the thumbs and it doesn't change when I keep clicking it :?

By the way, this seems like a good idea to get this on the front page ... that's why I want to make sure its working for me :(

Tried it myself and I DID have to register and log in. THEN I could get the thumbs up counter to advance by one.

Only theaters that show Harbinger Wars on at least ten screens will be able to screen the movie, and they will be able to markup tickets to whatever price they would like.

John Wick was a good movie? Haven't seen it but nice to know that it's better than it's commercials lead me to believe.

This is excellent news. It's going to be wild seeing Bloodshot, Peter, Harada on the big screen. And in two years no less. Most impressive. :thumb:

Trying to get my facts straight to be able to give people correct info, can anybody confirm or deny the following info:
I seem to remember in some interview somewhere that Valiant owns the rights to their own characters, but is just using Sony for distribution or production or something. Not like the stuff where Marvel lost access to the X-Men because Fox owns the rights until they stop using them for 5 years, right? Or am I imagining that and they could have their universe out of their control at some point (unless they lump all their eggs in the Sony basket)?

John Wick was a good movie. They got the action right and Keanu was dominant in the main role.

The direction and understanding of the action was top notch.

I'll try to find it, but I'm almost certain that Dino said that Sony only had distribution rights, not IP rights.

You definitely need a big dude for Bloodshot

Tall, built strong, intimidating edge .. some rugged handsomeness doesn't hurt either

Obviously Chris Evans .. and Chris Hemsworth are already superheroes - but somebody like that.

Chris's brother ... Liam Hemsworth I think has all those aspects that would make a good Bloodshot.

Plus he is a pretty fresh face ... I think he has been pretty good in Hunger Games. But I don't think he has had a huge breakout role yet where is the main star.

If anyone posts on the CBR boards, let's keep the thread in the TV/Film forum going and at the top of the page. I'm doing my best to post there periodically and bump it, but some more comments can't hurt!

Does anyone else think that the Rock would make a great Bloodshot? If you are on the fence, then you need to see a magnificent flick called "Faster". :thumb:

I love the Rock, but he's too goofy for Bloodshot. Everything he does is with a wink and a smile. Even his serious roles.

I'd rather have Jason Momoa. He has the same body type, is a better actor and has the same kind of indistinct ethnic look that the Rock has, which Bloodshot needs.

Joe Manganiello could be Bloodshot.

(I didn't realize he was married to Sophia Vergara!)

That dude is a beast. Heard he really wanted to play Batman in Dawn of Justice. So he might be down for another comic book role. He was in True Blood after all.

agreed about the Rock. Too goofy. I couldn't take him seriously as Bloodshot.

agreed about Momoa. He actually would make a perfect Bloodshot. Physically he fits and has a really good intensity to his acting that would fit perfect .. but he might be tied up with Aquaman for awhile

Manganiello is not a bad choice either - Probably would make the candidate list for me but I think there are better names that can be gotten.

I didn't see Faster but that's an excellent choice, physically. However, as someone else has suggested, sometimes an unknown brings less baggage to the party and surprises reviewers with a good performance.

I think Mamoa would work. better than The Rock at least. I think of Bloodshot as built but not wrestler built. It would make sense for the perfect soldier to be more Van Damme-tough versus bulk-tough. I love the Rock but I have never seen him in anything that I could take seriously. I think it would be great if they found a no name as Bloodshot and surround him by A-Listers. That way people say "Wow who was that guy" rather than associate it with a Rock movie before they even see it.

I love Mamoa, but he's already going to be Aquaman in the Justice League stuff soon. Do we want our Bloodshot to be their Aquaman? I think The Rock is too old and too humorous as others have said. Not sure who should be Bloodshot yet, I just know they need Ken Wanatabe for Harada!

Jeffrey Donnovan looks Van Damme tough if he bulks up. Also has the right hair color and face.

A movie version of teen superhero team Harbinger has previously been in the works at Paramount with Brett Ratner at the helm, but rights reverted to Valiant in 2013.

I read this and was wondering if the films are successful, would Harbinger become a television series? It seems that title would work the best in an episodic format (8-12 episodes/season). If you could get a major player to latch onto it, say a HBO, that could be amazing.

I'll hold onto my concerns about Bloodshot. I'm happy that this is moving forward. It's been 20+ years of me being a fan, and I wish Valiant still had the Magnus rights. I've been wanting to see a MRF movie for a long time, but I'm fine with the other titles getting love. Bloodshot seems to be a franchise that can span across many different demographics to be the first to production.

Well done Valiant.
