Hey everyone, SHADOWMAN: TALES FROM THE DEADSIDE is now live on Kickstarter. This is a full-length concept album based on Shadowman! Check out the video at the link above for an album preview There is also a mockup image of most of the merch at small size. We'll be featuring each piece and artist individually later on, but there is original work in there by Bob Hall, Barry Kitson, and Roberto de la Torre!

The Master Darque CDs, Master Darque & Sandria shirts are Kickstarter-exclusives. The blue & white vinyl, picture discs, and 24x36 Bob Hall/Barry Kitson posters were all done in limited editions of 250, so will be first come first serve to Kickstarter backers, and if there are any leftovers will be available after the Kickstarter.

We're also doing a limited edition of 100 "Tales from the Deadside" cassettes that will not be for sale. We'll be using them similar to the gold program, sending them out to people who help us spread the word! Will post more info on that later, but the gist of it is we are independent musicians doing this for love and very little money, so we'd love to have your help!

FYI Valiant has been totally amazing to deal with all along. We never asked them for any money as we prefer to maintain ownership of all our music, and prefer to produce everything ourselves, so that is why we are doing a Kickstarter. This is just our go-to method for bypassing record companies and going direct to fans. It allows us to do a lot of cool things that would not be possible if we had to go through a label and traditional distribution. I hope you'll check it out!

Could be cool then :)

Never heard the Punk Mambo song. What was it called? Got a song of theirs on at the moment though, 'Queen of Hell', sounds like the chick from 'Hysterica' is singing on it. Could just be someone with a similar voice though, don't care enough to find out. She can wail though

Good image if nothing else!

Different chick for sure, that's our singer Nina Osegueda. Song was/is called "Punk Mambo". It was a Humble Bundle exclusive with the Valiant horror bundle last Halloween, but will reappear on the album. Valiant has us on hold for a few days before we can unveil everything, but I think you guys will dig it. Done with reverence for the source material (which really inspired us), and passion for all things Valiant!

Will bump thread and update o.p. when I can spill all the beans! Waiting on Dino to get through SDCC and give us the final green light!

Didn't realise we had one of the band members on the forum here. Was listening to the band yesterday after coming across this thread and actually really liked the music. Was listening to some stuff again this morning before finding your post here. Good stuff :thumb:

Can you fix me up with a physical copy of the album once it's been put together? PM me for a chat about that?

Yep, have been lurking here for a while, was lucky enough to hear about the relaunch in time to get in on the ground floor with X-O and Harbie #1. I have every issue VEI has published but only one of most of them, I don't chase all the variants, so miss out on a lot of the collector discussion. Anyway, my point is I'm here as a fan, not because of the album. This whole album thing got rolling in fall 2013 when we were so hyped about Valiant that we just walked up to their booth at Baltimore Comic-Con and blurted out that we wanted to make an album about one of their characters! Fortunately VEI is awesome and actually listened to us and got in touch!

Anyway, yeah, am here as a fan first, but will bump this thread as we start announcing some of the cool stuff we'll be putting out. And Shadowman99, will PM you about the album!

Thank you, thank you! =) I did not expect to smash through the goal in 21 hours! Wow!

Time to start thinking about stretch goals and rewards. So, we've got the Shadowman license, gotta get everything approved by Valiant of course but....whadda youse guys want!?!

(Also an album costs a heck of a lot more than $10k to make so please keep spreading the word! Will be previewing some of the cool giveaways for people who help out soon!)
