It sounds like Dinesh was pretty upfront about the problem. Looking forward to the story, no matter the covers.

A bit bummed about the covers as I have major nostalgia for the 90s gimmick covers. As long as the story doesn't suffer, I say bring 'em on!

Hats off to Valiant for pulling the plug over quality concerns, rather than just pushing something out there for promo/gimmick value!

Good on them for not putting out garbage quality and giving us a different (if slight) upgrade.

Boo on them since I only bought the various covers because they were GitD. I've been really cutting back on generic VEI variants.

They mentioned that they're fully returnable, so if you pre-ordered somewhere, let them know that you no longer want the extra covers and why; a decent retailer will understand and cancel them.
