Valiant Deluxe Editions Going Out of Print

I just wanted to give the Valiant community a heads up that many deluxe editions may be going out of print fast. I am part of a collected editions facebook group that deals only in collected versions of comics (tpb, hardcover, omnibus,etc..), and they have a bit of a hive mind. A few members will start to talk about a book or series and many people will become interested and track down the books. Valiant is the current hot item. This has caused many to buy the deluxe editions causing them to go out of print very fast within the past few days. This is great news for Valiant support, but I just wanted to give a heads up if anyone was looking to pick any of the deluxes up before they are long gone.

We'd already noticed that the Deluxe Eds had started disappearing, but thanks for the heads up. Weird that this is a significant contributor to the current pattern of sales though, but whatever floats people's boats I guess. Anyway, good for Valiant.

I have noticed several VEI trades drop off the Sales list at Instocktrades.com. The list is just barely over 1 page and has shrunk from a few days ago. The Deluxe HC's that are available does not appear to have changed.

Maybe I should hold onto my Bloodshot Reborn TPB's that I just listed for sale.

For the most part softcover TPBs are reprinted continuously. HCs, specially oversized ones, have huge minimums to break even, and thus, don't get reprinted unless there is a very serious retailer backorder activity.

According to DCBS, Ivar, The Valiant, Unity and X-O 1 deluxe are out-of-stock. Supposedly, they are getting more.

atomicempire.com has the Ivar HC as of right now.

Out of stock is not same as out of print. We sell out and re order all the time. OOP means sold out and can't reorder

atomicempire.com has the Ivar HC as of right now.

So does Amazon and Target.com. It's still readily available.

Out of stock is not same as out of print. We sell out and re order all the time. OOP means sold out and can't reorder

I know. That is why I said out of stock and that they were supposedly getting more.

To answer your questions, yes...there is extra content. A published web comic and the usual cover gallery and interior art commentary.

It really depends on how bad you want a certain item and how much you'd like to spend (or save)? And if you can't find it anywhere else then it doesn't matter how long you have to wait for the delivery as long as it gets there.
