Think we might see how War Mother makes her way to the present day.

I think it's Gilad from 4001, the Eternal Emperor version. That crown thing looks like that design.Sunlight on Snow wrote:Who's the guy below Armstrong supposed to be?

This would mean....
1) Eternal Warrior #5-8 => 4001 AD - the Eternal Emperor
2) Rai & 4001AD => 4001-4002 AD - Gilad not being the Eternal Emperor anymore
3) Faith & the FF => ???? => the Eternal Emperor again

It's a time travel book, so it could be future goals from any point before or after 4001-2.Sunlight on Snow wrote:Ah, right.Phoenix8008 wrote:I think it's Gilad from 4001, the Eternal Emperor version. Re: Faith and the Future Force - First Look
Gilad in the Rai series was still the same old man version like he was in EW 5-8, he just didn't have the three spiked headdress/outfit from what I remember. Even in the EW 5-8 issues, I don't remember him referring to himself as 'Emperor' of anything, so I don't see it as a very big deviation in canon. Just a different outfit he wore occasionally.Sunlight on Snow wrote:Ah, right.Phoenix8008 wrote:I think it's Gilad from 4001, the Eternal Emperor version. Re: Faith and the Future Force - First Look
I think he was just the "emperor" of that specific tribe of folks he was within Arkansas. The only time I recall him using the word emperor was in the first issue of that arc when he was yelling at the villagers to get away from the robot he had just destroyed since it was about to blow up. He yelled for them to go to some ruins where there was a bomb shelter and got push back from two guys who said they weren't supposed to go there and he yelled "Your emperor commands you" and let them to the shelter. I just re-read the book for Bruce's TPB review push so it's fresh in my mindPhoenix8008 wrote:Gilad in the Rai series was still the same old man version like he was in EW 5-8, he just didn't have the three spiked headdress/outfit from what I remember. I stand corrected on the name itself being used then. Thanks for informing us.Zhuge1 wrote:I think he was just the "emperor" of that specific tribe of folks he was within Arkansas. That's the selling point for me when it comes to this book, all the different characters that will feature in it....Keith wrote:Think we might see how War Mother makes her way to the present day.
War Mother, Rai, Roku, Divinity, Tama, etc...

Re: Faith and the Future Force - First Look
This. Think of how may people pitch The Valiant as an entry point for the universe. This book has even more heroes, and Faith is headlining, so it could be an attempt to pull Faith readers deeper into the universe (as Paul from VCP pointed out).agent_graves wrote:That's the selling point for me when it comes to this book, all the different characters that will feature in it....Keith wrote:Think we might see how War Mother makes her way to the present day.

I do hope that they give some thought about tying this into the larger continuity. If they are picking up these characters from various times and places, will they acknowledge the events in the other titles at some point? This is something they could've done better when Stalinverse wrapped up.
