After the first year or so, they've pretty much only been doing the A cover with a different color logo for the reprints, no?nycjadie wrote:

Yeah, seems to be pretty standard just changing the logo color when reprinting. Would be nice to see a 2nd/3rd print mixed up with a non-A cover. Off hand, I can't recall a reprint with a non-A since X-O (1st series) #1.

This is awesome. I would love to know how much of that is the preorder bundles.
Hopefully the sales will hold up well for the rest of the series. It definitely deserves it.

Re: Secret Weapons #1 Sells Out
I know Archer & Armstrong had a different cover for the 2nd print, and the 3rd print was a b&w version of a regular cover. I'm not sure when they stopped using new (or at least previously unprinted) art for reprints.unityshadowman wrote:kjjohanson wrote:After the first year or so, they've pretty much only been doing the A cover with a different color logo for the reprints, no?nycjadie wrote:

Q&W #1 had an all-new cover for the 2nd printing.

Harbinger #1 2nd print is an awesome cover, also. I think X-O, Harbinger, Bloodshot, Archer & Armstrong (Summer of Valiant, basically) and Quantum & Woody were the only series that had different covers for 2nd prints.
I remember hoping that Shadowman had a cool second cover, but it was the A in B/W.

Some look really good, I give you that- i specially like X-O's 4th print, which is the Lozzi's 2nd print variant in B/W.TheeBaldMoose wrote:hey, I love Black and white art! Re: Secret Weapons #1 Sells Out
The pre order bundle is for the entire 1-4 mini (not sure if that's what you meant?). But yeah, the pre-order initiative seems to have been a big win for Valiant so it'll be interesting to see how much of the 36k are pre order bundles?Thegreatmagnet wrote:This is awesome. I'm all in with the pre orders, just put my pre-order in for Bloodshot Salvation.

I think all of the Rai reprints repurposed interior art, so it was new *cover* art, but the art was existing.ShadowTuga wrote:Totally forgot about Rai! Aren't there already enough variant covers? Who needs a brand new one for 2nd and 3rd printings?
Valiant could fix Rex-O's speech for a 2nd printing of Secret Weapons #1 though.

Any guesses on the number of VVSS's out there?
I believe it was a 1:100, but 360 seems high

Re: Secret Weapons #1 Sells Out
360 assumes every store that ordered a single copy ordered at least 100, and all stores ordered in multiples of 100. So there's a max of 360 distributed as an incentive, but that does not preclude Valiant distributing copies outside of the normal distribution process (comps for creators, marketing freebies, etc.)jaden_sai wrote:Any guesses on the number of VVSS's out there?

I'd take a stab in the dark and say from 175-225. We shall see once they start hitting Ebay.
