Re: Discovering the Valiant II (VH1 Reviews)
Yeah the Birthquake branding I don't think needed to be on these covers. I finished Shadowman:
Shadowman Yearbook #1: A fun story by Mike Barron about 1890s shadowman getting into it with a boxer. It's a little slow at the beginning but picks up nice and was an enjoyable read. Totally skippable as it has no bearing on anything, but I liked it, and liked seeing more of that character and Nettie when she was young. 7/10
Shadowman #39: Shadowman reconfronts Ishmael after Nettie's made Ishmael promise not to kill him. Some good moments, I like the musical life of Jack being developed. 8/10
Shadowman #40: A woman gets Darque power after hanging around his cemetery. She believes she's a vampire starts tearing up people's necks. Very cool original villain story, as a one off, I enjoyed. 8/10
Shadowman #41: A plot to put shadowman in jail by corrupt cops. Some music development -- jack is having trouble capturing the passion even in his sax playing without the night (I loved this bit). Shadowman fights off corrupt cops and gets arrested. A little wonky how this developed but still entertaining enough. 7/10
Shadowman #42: A full issue like of a court case. This was awful and made zero sense at all and hard to get through. The whole verdict was stupid and senseless too.. 1890s shadowman showed up too and it's a jumbled mess. Might be the worst issue of the series to date. 2/10
Shadowman #43: WTF No. Just no. 0/10.
And that's a wrap for this series.

You know, I have the full run of VH1 Shadowman, but I think it's possible I have not yet read the last issue or two. I can't recall what happened in them. I'm laughing at your abrupt wtf review of 43, it's got me curious as to why you think that!

I think other than the One More Day spider-man series which gets a -1 / 10 I've never been so upset with reading a book lol.superman-prime wrote:0 out of 10 sums it up well
