Divinity is the new Solar for VEI? Will check it out to see what everyone is raving about.

More than 500 pages... that's thick!
The most recent Dlx Ed's are about 400 pages for $49.99. I wonder what this one will cost? Just being curious.

I've got all the floppies so won't buy this, but I imagine it'll be a gorgeous book

Re: Divinity: The Complete Trilogy
If you go into with that expectation, you'll be disappointed. Divinity is an interesting book, but it doesn't try to imitate Solar. It's a different thing.aj583 wrote:Divinity is the new Solar for VEI?

Yeah, that was to be expected and I guess it's okay.jeremycoe wrote:$59.99, according to the solicitations that were just released.Sunlight on Snow wrote:More than 500 pages... that's thick!

It's kinda sad the first Divinity HC will become obsolete especially since they're using the very same cover again which I believe isn't even JKD's best work. I would have preferred the Hairsine variant (Divinity II #1), or a brand new cover by Hairsine, or any of the LaRosa variants,... basically anything but the same cover again.
Re: Divinity: The Complete Trilogy
Its down to $46.29. I would pre-order it now if you want to save some $$$$.jeremycoe wrote:$59.99, according to the solicitations that were just released.Sunlight on Snow wrote:More than 500 pages... that's thick!

Re: Divinity: The Complete Trilogy
Eh, InStockTrades always has Valiant for at least 30% off, which would make this $42. I think I'll hold off for now.tchalla8 wrote:Its down to $46.29. Anyone know if Divinity #0 will be collected elsewhere?

Re: Divinity: The Complete Trilogy
This is cool, but now I feel like I wasted my money buying the first Divinity Deluxe Edition.
On that note, Divinity is the only non-legacy property from the lineup that I got into at all, so I prob give this hardcover a shot anyway if InStockTrades has it nicely marked down from cover.

Re: Divinity: The Complete Trilogy
Was I wrong in thinking Divinity was supposed to be told in 4 parts, but now it is a trilogy? I don’t want to buy this only to have one more story released to finish the main story.
Thanks,

Re: Divinity: The Complete Trilogy
IIRC, during last year's panel (before Stalinverse) Kindt mentioned Divinity was initially planned to be a trilogy but then they decided to give the Stalinverse its own mini instead of being just a part and subplot in Divinity II.mkb28 wrote:Was I wrong in thinking Divinity was supposed to be told in 4 parts, but now it is a trilogy? What are the odds we'll see Eternity II and III at some point? Otherwise, why not calling it Divinity IV: The Final Chapter?
