When I went to my LCS for my pull today I looked over and a young lady was at a table drawing. I asked the owner who she was and he said that it was Jen Broomall and she draws covers and is new to the area and wants to meet people. I didn't recognize the name so I went over to meet her. Turns out she just started doing covers for Valiant. She did variants for all the Secret Weapons and for the first four Bloodshot salvation covers. How cool, seeing as I'm probably the only Valiant super fan at my local shop. She was so nice and signed a print for me to give to my daughter. We talked for about ten minutes and she said how much she loves working with Valiant and how well they treat her. It was a very positive experience so I thought I would share. By the way, her art is top notch.

Awesome! This should be posted in the regular Valiant discussion area though, for all to see!

Good idea on moving the post to general discussion. How do I do that?

That's an awesome experience! Love talking to local artists, especially when they do covers for the books I love!

Thanks for moving the post. Talking to her was great. It started giving me the idea of collecting original art. Up to this point I was focused only on comics. Other than about 5 grail comics, I have all the ones I want and need to broaden my horizons. Just soooo expensive. I know original cover art is one of a kind but holy cow!
