I think it must be reasonably common as I have one by pure chance as well, although Phantom and I get our comics from the same shop, so maybe a duff batch was sent out to that shop from the factory/Diamond
I'd guess there are others out there.

Well that accounts for the other issue!
Never thought to ask you.
Only started reading the series this week, and opened issue 3 this morning.
I wouldn't think their was many. Its a pre order edition, AND I don't think Ian orders for the shelf much anymore. Just standing orders, and a few random books for the shelves. He is heavily invested in comics, but he is following the market and bulking up on trades and more Merchandise.
Wouldn't be surprised if their was only two. Wrote to Dinesh and its the first he has heard of it. If their was more I am sure someone would of contacted Valiant by now.
I might buy a random issue anyway to get the story, if I can find a Pre order for sale in UK, will buy and check.

Very cool... Auction it off and see what it brings! I think error books are kinda neat.

Shall I slab it?
The books are nm 9.6/9.8 ?
It would take about 4 months to slab from UK.
Only two known. Quite rare, I wonder what CGC would say on the label?

There was another issue with the pre order edition for Secret Weapons #2, it was printed with the same cover as pre order #1 but coloured differently. VEI sent out replacement books to retailers. I have one of the mis-printed cover versions.

Lol, I picked up one of these errors by chance too But the story content was as it should have been, so no sweat.Dallow Spicer1 wrote:There was another issue with the pre order edition for Secret Weapons #2, it was printed with the same cover as pre order #1 but coloured differently. This is weird though.
Cover of issue 3 .
Comic of issue 2.
Pre order bonus of issue 3.
Pretty unique
Just so strange how it is.

Not to drag a dead horse, but I wonder how it happened?
I know nothing of how comics are printed.
Are comics printed on large sheets, folded cut and cover added?
If so wrong PDF? File loaded.
If comics are printed on multiple small sheets, cover stapled and trimmed ~ it would still be a PDF, file upload mistake.
Surely issue 2 and 3 are not printed at the same time? as in straight after one another ~ if so, that would be the easiest understanding of how 2 slipped pass. (but then you have to store comics for a month before shipping). So during change over of document, printing press still had a few sheets of issue two in it.
Must be VERY few in number, otherwise more would of been found and Valiant known about it.
If their was more, it would of been acknowledged. (Dino was surprised)
Printers don't want it out to the public ~ as quality control, and although mistakes happen ~ best to bin them, and not even tell valiant.
Valiant doesn't want it to the public as it annoys distributors, shop owners and headache of returns.
Customers don't want it, as I still haven't read issue 3.
Off to look up comic book printing on you tube.

Re: Secret weapons 3 pre order misprint ~ is it common?
Just watched, comic book printing ~ guess what turned up ~ printing of valiants 1m issue ~ first on youtube!
As I expected, printed on large sheets and folded. Cover added. What I didn't expect was the large metal printing sheets.
They must of made a metal printing sheet for this, and and it was wrong. But then all of them would have been thrown out! How did two slip out? get released?
All can think of is that a few where checked ~ put on a table? set aside? and an error found, print press stopped.
The stacked comics that came off the printer, chucked ~ recycled.
Latter new metal sheet added, books printed (checked as ok), then on another shift? latter in the day someone sees two / three books sitting on a desk / table and chucks them into the boxes to be shipped ~ thinking they are the same.
