He could work as EW, I just always picture Gilad as more lithe and less musclebound.

I agree with that. Gilad has always been more skill than muscle. It's what separates him from Aram.

In the 1990's, Gilad was (supposedly) described as Height: 5’11” Weight: 320 lbs.

His feats included an overhead press of one ton (yes, 2,000 lbs) directly overhead, and physically ripping a car door from the vehicle.

In VEI, Gilad is 6'6" and 285 to 290 lbs.

Yo! Late to the party as usual!

I don't think anyone's mentioned the best part of the article. It said that it's going to have the feel of classic action flicks like "Robocop, Terminator, and Total Recall." That to me is the best news!

I think that would fit the writing of the first 12 books of this series, very Robocop/Terminator-ish. Go here, destroy/kill that, break away, find kids you once imprisoned...

I'm not talking about the simplicity of those stories, it's the aesthetic and feel that those 3 movies share. They have a gravitas and carry a weight that most action flicks today lack. There's a cold steel feel to those movies.

Wow, really? I didn't know he was so big in VEI. Is that from the Valiant Handbook?

Can’t recall. I saw it in print a while back though, and it was certainly VEI official.
