V1 Ninjak Prototypes
So eBay seller zenspyder has had the following listed for sale;
Ninjak 1 VALIANT COMIC UNCIRCULATED Prototype 1 of 5 made Gold w/ no Gold
BIN = US $2,999.99
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ninjak-1-VALIA ... 66fa90fdc/
Ninjak 1 Gold Variant Valiant Comics VF/NM Proof Prototype 1 of 5 made
BIN = US $599.99
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ninjak-1-Gold- ... 56819bf956
My question is, at least in the case of the Ninjak 1 VALIANT COMIC UNCIRCULATED Prototype 1 of 5 made Gold w/ no Gold, the book displayed is a regular copy -- complete with a price listed.
His description states;
So This books is NOT what is listed at all, but at best a regular copy allegedly signed by James Ester.
Oddly enough, he also has listed an actual gold version for $599.99 (which makes ZERO sense as this would likely command a higher market price than a regular version, IF they were real of course).
However, this is the same seller who has listed the Colored OA for Adventures Super Mario Brothers #9 at a BIN/OBO for $30,000 as well as a quite common X-O Manowar #0 Ivory for $1,000.
I question these listings.

However, we know that all Valiant Gold books produced AFTER A&A #0 and EW #1 DID NOT include a price on the cover.Ninjak 1 VALIANT COMIC UNCIRCULATED Prototype 1 of 5 made Gold w/ no Gold. This is a holofoil without the gold embossing. A prototype version of the gold!!! This is truly one of the rarest Valiant items you will ever see. This was acquired from James Ester the creator of the chrome process used in many collectibles in the 90's. And is signed by him. According to Ester there were only Five Prototype Covers made. This is in Very Fine condition and comes with a COA stating how it was obtained.

Re: V1 Ninjak Prototypes
Those have been posted for a long time, and obviously the prices have been too high.
There's a possibility that it is what he says it is... a prototype of the holofoil process, which would be expected during the development stage. But, there are two problems: 1) the pictures don't clearly show that the cover is holofoil... it should have better angles, a YouTube video showing the difference between it and a regular copy, etc., and 2) the price is higher than the prices for the original gold program prototypes (1-of-1) for Solar #3 and Solar #5 which were older, unique, verified, and generally better Valiant prototypes in every way.
