Sony's BLOODSHOT Targeting WESTWORLD and UNREAL Actors - Rep

Along with previous rumors or Jared Leto playing Angelo Mortalli we should take this as confirmation that the film will include elements from various iterations of Bloodshot, including the Acclaim and VH-1 runs. This seems to be what Dinesh was talking about when he said the film versions wouldn't necessarily line up with the VEI versions of characters.
Gina DeCarlo seems to be the first named character mentioned for the Bloodshot film in the casting. At least the first character present in the comics. I'm curious when they'll officially reveal the complete cast listing. We can expect the Cianelli family to make some appearance in the film. It doesn't look like anything from Jeff Lemire's Bloodshot run will be included in the film. Which makes sense since the script for the film was written in 2015, and Lemire's run started that very same year. We'll have to hope for a sequel to see Magic, Deathmate, and the Bloodshot Squad.

Interesting. I wonder if we'll see a classic omnibus for VH1 Bloodshot in the near future. Similarly, releasing the Acclaim run as a trade would be nice.SuperMage wrote:https://www.newsarama.com/40378-westwor ... eport.html

Well remember, the end game is Harbinger Wars I, so we should expect the next Bloodshot movie to hit on the 2012 series. Then, maybe we would get to see a little Gamma???

as far as I know, 5th movie is supposed to be Harbinger Wars...
If that's the case, then the second Bloodshot has to involve the 2012 run, and the Harbinger Kids.
Betting they end this movie by taking the last few minutes talking about "these kids, and their abilities..."
Would make sense, and be a complete lead in for Harbinger and BS2

Re: Sony's BLOODSHOT Targeting WESTWORLD and UNREAL Actors -
Anything can happen in movieland. The Crow reboot was set to be release next year, but Jason Mamoa and the director both walked out after working on the film for three years. For now the plan is two Bloodshot and Harbinger movies and then Harbinger Wars acting as the third act for both franchises. That could change depending on the success of the films. They might turn Harbinger Wars into their Infinity War if Sony decides to greenlight more Harbinger spin-offs between Harbinger sequels. Harbinger, and Bloodshot alone could hold up their own universe with potential for spin-offs staring H.A.R.D. Corps, Secret Weapons, Livewire, Faith, Imperium, Deathmate, etc. It's too early to count our chickens if the first one hasn't hatched yet.
The script for Harbinger was undergoing a rewrite a while ago by Justin Tipping and Joshua Beirne-Golden back in April 2017. The Harbinger film could be an amalgamation of different iterations of Harbinger like what Bloodshot is shaping up to be. If they limit themselves to VEI character from the 2012 run for the Harbinger film, they won't have much to work with for two movies. There's the Harbinger Foundation, and.... that's about it. Not a lot of rogues to choose from for the movie. Not a lot of team members either. Throw VH-1 characters in the mix, then you've got B-Squad, Katsumi Kabuto, Spikeman, Bazooka, Twenty-Twenty, etc. It would also give them a chance to include characters like Solomon, and Tamara.
