Awesome! So... are you going to make a list once a month? That would be really cool to see what's HOT and what is moving up the chart in your view.

I will try to. Worst case, I’ll be out to sea an will have to email to someone to post.Ricomortis wrote:Awesome! So... are you going to make a list once a month? That would be really cool to see what's HOT and what is moving up the chart in your view.

I’d like to work it to where the list each month focuses on market activity of the last 30-60 days as opposed to the last year.
But I needed a place to start lol!

This is really cool! Please do this every month. I need to buy another Harbinger #1 and those 1% gold books are ghosts.

Re: DBS’s “TOP 10” - July 2018
I'm a bit curious to see if Quantum & Woody #1 and #3 (1997 run) see some movement now that DMG re-upped talks of a TV show coming to TBS.
while not my favorite Valiant, I really enjoyed this series, and with the constant bouncing between current events and throwback stories in the comic, it fits the current trend in TV shows currently in production.
I personally found the 1997 run much more enjoyable than the VEI re-launch, partially because I preferred Woody as the likeable irresponsible idiot, and less as the irresponsible criminally inclined idiot. The randomness of Woody in the original run really paired well with Eric/Quantum's seriousness. Just brilliant writing by Priest on this series from start to finish (except issue 32, which was way too dark for this series).
Plus, I want to say issue #1 had a very small print run for the time, between 7,500 - 9,000 copies if I recall. And the paper quality wasn't great, so even getting one graded in the 9.6/9.8 range was fairly low as I remember.

Q&W #1 (1997) is one 1990s Valiant/Acclaim book we can check on Comichron.com, since his data does go back that far.markie7235 wrote:Plus, I want to say issue #1 had a very small print run for the time, between 7,500 - 9,000 copies if I recall. His estimate is 13,796 for first month, North American sales... which means the real number is probably around 15,000 to 18,000 or so... but since there were two covers, your estimate is probably perfect for the number of copies of each (color) cover. The black and white retailer review (preview) is probably closer to 5,000 copies.
The estimate for Q&W #3 (1997) is 9,692 copies, which probably means 11,000 or so... but since there was only one cover, that makes Q&W #3 more common (if "common" is the right word) than any of the Q&W #1 covers.
