Is it fair to all the writers, artists and executives who have left to still call this VEI? DMG Valiant? Or at least some kind of post-Unity type designation. Post-Dinesh? Post-Shamdasani?Dallow Spicer1 wrote:Wow, slim pickings this month. Possibly the worst month in VEI history.

Yeah the post Dinesh period does seem significant enough to label it differently. Re: Book of the Month - January 2019
I put Shadowman #11 & XO #23 as my top vote-getters, but even those two books were a bit weak to me.
Much as I've really enjoyed the Shadowman series to date, I thought this last arc was a bit of a weak finish. I am very glad to see Shadowman brought back into a position where he will be a stronger character again going forward in whatever books they throw him into next, its just deeply disappointing that this run is ending prematurely.
And XO wasn't too bad overall, but it ended up being my second vote by default only because the other choices this month were far worse & even more disappointing [to me, at least]. Sorry to be making such a negative post, but this felt like a really poor month among many poor months lately.

Re: Book of the Month - January 2019
I voted Shadowman and Ice cream, first time I ever voted Ice cream.
Good news is VCR just got a dump of 4 books coming out and they ranged from solid to great so I'm optimistic.
Rough month for sure though.
