I've read the first Bloodshot, why does the second one just sound like generic Batman/Spiderman/enter superhero here type comic???

Really has deflated my interest in this new series...

I'm not super excited about it either. I expect it will run until the movie comes out, followed by another intro/origin type new series.

Lemire set such a high bar that no writer will know what to do with the character now. I was worried when they starting hyping the new series and all they could say was "bone crushing action" and "lots of bullets". They said the same thing about Bloodshot Rising Spirit. Even the initial 2012 series wasn't just action. It was quite smart and wasn't insulting. Why are they so proud to be be putting out dumb comics? They have a very limited creative outlook if all they think is Bloodshot should be all action. Why do they think their fan base is so dumb? :!:

The rest of the solicitation look to continue their slide into mediocrity. These covers are all awful. facepalm

"And who is the mysterious masked woman called Eidolon?!"

"Featuring the first appearance of a terrifying new villain! Enter: the Embalmer!"

This all sounds like proper crap.

Bring back Angelo Mortali, the redemption story of a dead mob hitman brought back to life seeking answers and redemption like it should be, garrison is the false memory.

The new villain's names sound like something image or dark horse would use. :!:
I-Only judge porn by the cover.

I have lots of thoughts.
Roku- Honestly, I like the character, and Punk Mambo has been good, but I just don't give a *SQUEE*. Also, these covers are actual garbage.

Bloodshot- Although it does sound like dumb action, I'm kind of okay with that? Lemire's run was just so dour and introspective, which is cool, but sometimes I want Bloodshot to just let loose and kills lots of people. :? I know it's not much to ask for a smart and action-packed book, but at this point, all I want is a solid story was crazy, bloody action. The "Eidolon" crap sounds like some generic bulls*** though. Also, these covers are much better than Roku's. I particularly love the Booth cover, and it makes me excited to see what the interiors look like.

Dr. Mirage- I adore all the covers, besides the Raul Allen one, surprisingly. The Embalmer sounds about as lame as Eidolon.

Killers- Meyers continues to kill it on the A covers. I hope this series is good.

Psi-Lords- The covers this month are exceptional, but damn I'm disappointed that Guedes isn't getting replaced.

Livewire- "Amanda learns there’s more to superhero-ing than just punching bad guys." Seriously? And these covers suck.

Harada- I was really thinking they might just skip the TPB altogether and release a HC. I mean the only people that are going to buy this are diehard fans, and all of those diehards would probably rather have the deluxe ed.

I was hoping they'd go straight to HC for Toyo too.

Some of the covers are just ok. But I think it's a bias too. There's nothing they could do to make Psi-Lords look appealing to me.

Remember when Valiant had great covers like this:

Those covers make you want to read the book!

Wasn't that back when they cared about continuity? Proper story telling? They wanted to keep fans and attract new ones?

The pre-order edition is for 12 issues, so it'll run at least a year

Maybe they know the books stink now so they put crappy covers on them to scare people away.

Lack.......lustre facepalm

Difficult to remember a less inspiring month! There were weak periods even under the previous regime (Valiant lite, remember that !) but this is not the direction the majority of fans want!

Obviously KJ will be in his element with these books but the rest of us....( :P joke!)

I'll judge the books on their own merits, not the perceived agenda that some see.

If VEI was smart they would introduce a new parody title mini series: “Ack-Lame Comics!”

Do we really need 4 covers for every issue. It is just overkill all these covers and frankly most of them are not that good. (Dr Mirage has the best covers this month).

I’m just not that enthusiastic now.

Happy to see another Deluxe. I know the boat has likely sailed but I really want a Unity Deluxe 2.

I really hope that someone comes along soon who can think of something intelligent to do with Bloodshot. Having him smite some random fodder here and there is okay for an arc at a time, but the character needs to move forward and develop, not just hunker down behind cover and fire loads of bullets at meaningless enemies. How about having him 'connect' personally (or via nanites?! :hm: ) with Rampage for some reason, maybe have Bloodshot try to pry him away from being used simply as a weapon his brother by inspiring him to follow an agenda of his own division? Maybe that'll develop into a new hard-hitting tag team there for a time when a common foe attempts to intervene in their bromance?

"Terrifying new villain; The Embalmer!" - what is this, 1960's Batman? :|

I’ll pick up Bloodshot and Killers, 50/50 on Roku. I might stick with Livewire if it’s ending at 12 as I’ve got this far so might as well finish the run (not because it’s been anything more than average).

Psi Lords and Dr Mirage...no thanks
