...according to Bleeding Cool. No details of when they come out or what characters those titles include :?

Anyone care to speculate?

These titles are crap from a marketing perspective. Maybe worse than crap. Even worse than Dead Drop. Maybe even The Killers. Why not rename the next X-O title as Robot Suit. The SEO value and brand recognition is clearly not a priority.

What are your thoughts,my thoughts are the ending of the end. :high-five: .They sound like 2 series that have nothing to with the valiant universe.I usually try to look on good side of valiant, but not so much now. :thumb:

"Bleeding Cool gets the word that Valiant Entertainment is to publish two new series – or at least a series and an event."

In other words, they searched the trademark database. Other trademarks include "Neela," "The Red Legend," "Klang," and "Gin-Gr," none of which have yet become series, minis, or events.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Yes, the article does state about registering trademarks so maybe Bleeding Cool are making something out of nothing. However, thinking about it they must have registered them for a reason and they don’t sound like the name of characters so who knows?

I keep thinking back to ECCC this year, and something that was stated. I can't remember exactly what was stated, but it was something along the lines of Heather Antos getting to write two mystery/murder books under the Valiant name. It's something that's been tickling the back of my brain since, as I don't think she's ever written before. These titles do have me confused, but fit right into the idea of mystery/murder style books.

Good Gawd, I hope I am wrong

It seems like Valiant is moving more and more away from a classic, cohesive superhero universe model and more to a random publication model like Dark Horse or Image. Or maybe that happened years ago and I didn't notice because I got out once they became a mini-series publisher.

But I will buy Rai, so hopefully that is as amazing as it was when Clayton Crain was involved.

I've always been confused about Britannia. Not that I don't like the series (the first two were great), but what does it have to do with the Valiant Universe at all?

It's funny, but I think technically Crain is great, so I love his covers, but I found that a lot of times his storytelling made the story a little tough to follow, or lacked certain dramatic dynamics. Much prefer him on covers.

I kept waiting for any of the three minis to tie into the bigger universe and they never did. I probably enjoyed them less because of that, but I realize that's an unfair reason to knock them. They are well done for the stories they are telling.

Britannia was included in the 2019 handbook (which kind of surprised me).

And as I'm re-reading VH1, it struck me that the first 10 pages of Timewalker #1 take part, specifically, in Britannia, so I do wonder if there was going to be some linking of VEI's series to the Anni-Paddi at some point and they either bailed or just didn't get there.

By the time the second and third series came around I was waiting for them to tie into the wider VU one way or another, but they never did, sadly.

I'm really starting to miss the cohesive nature of the VU, so if these titles have nothing to do with the existing VU in any sense I think I'm really going to have to start considering whether or not I'm going to continue buying Valiant comics
