Everyone see the latest trailer? Lots more "comics accurate" looking shots in this one. Overall i thought the first trailer was more interesting though.

Until the last 20 seconds I thought I was accidentally watching the first trailer again.

My wife watched this one, knowing nothing of the property (even that it was a comic) and said, "It's a well done trailer, but you know what the entire movie is going to be. And that doesn't seem very good. Plus, it's Vin Diesel playing Vin Diesel."
"If you think any of these [older comics/shows/movies] do not carry a political content and is not using the medium of science fiction to explore real-world ideas, than you have not been paying attention." - Dan Abnett, VCR #246

Is it just me? Or does the new scene in the second trailer where Bloodshot’s arms are blown off and rebuilt by nanites (after catching the explosive) remind anyone else of the Bloodshot Reborn cover issue #13 1:20 Choi variant. The only difference is that on the comic book cover Bloodshot is shirtless (and has hair).

I somehow missed any discussion of this getting a PG-13 rating. How the heck is that gonna be true to the comic. I basically wanted to watch this for 2 reasons:

1. Vin Diesel stabbing a dude in the neck with his own broken radius/ulna

2. Eating a full on live cow to replenish nanites.

I now don't imagine either of those will happen. Which is supremely disappointing and maybe I'll skip this in theatres and wait for the NR cut to hit Blu-ray.

But then again... this movie in IMAX...

Why couldn't they just put the arm stabbing in?

Yes, more cow eating.

It could have been the greatest teaser trailer of all time:

Just a spotlight on pale-white Bloodshot at the side of a country road, eyes glowing red, ripping and eating a live cow.

10 seconds only.

I find the PG-13 rating slightly disappointing, too, but they probably need it for a better revenue especially since this is the first ever movie based on a Valiant IP. Maybe we'll get a decent Director's Cut for home release? Anyhow, I still believe it's going to be an entertaining movie no matter what. Whether it's going to be a good Bloodshot movie depends on his final skin color and hair cut (towards the end of the movie; there's still hope). I can live with the glowing rib cage; it does looks more realistic than the perfectly circular red dot in the comic books.

It's PG-13, so pretty sure both those things could still happen. Cause really, unless there are lady nipples/manzone shots, multiple gratuitous killings or multiple F-bombs stuff can get PG-13 without cutting too much.

Saw a 30 second spot during SportsCenter on ESPN last night. I thought the trailer they used was a little confusing but the film looks completely legit. I can't imagine every Vin fan on the planet won't go see it.

It wasn't exactly an Ender's Game "I never thought I'd get to see Dragon Army in action" moment, but it was close.

This is true. Violence does not automatically mean an R rating. Though the success of Deadpool, Joker, John Wick and other recent R-rated action/superhero movies made me believe this might get the R rating. That does eliminate too much potential revenue though.

Dinesh has eluded to the fact that there are tons of Easter Eggs in this movie as they relate to the comics, and many have been laid out via Brian Wells on Twitter. This just happened to be one of them. The one where Vin Diesel is laying down on the table (he's dressed in a white shirt) is directly from Rai 0

I bought my ticket for Thursday, March 12th at 5:00pm, first showing in my area. "Opening day" may be March 13th, but if you don't check the 12th in your area, you may be seeing it on the first day after the first day.

I think I might see it at 10:15 on Thursday, after I drop the kids. Would be fun to see it right after being at ECCC.
