I'm going to start collecting my loose chance in a jar.
Will go over for the IP auction in a few years, might see Dino their. :P
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

"...from Blowfish Studios, which is responsible for Siegecraft and Gunscape.
Anyone heard of these games? Interesting selection of projects they've turned out, by the looks of Blowfish's website, but looks like they're mainly into browser/mobile games. The article makes it seem that they might be aiming for bigger budget console games with the Valiant IPs to me, but :?

Just noticed this in the second article:
"Valiant’s comic sales have risen 10 percent this year, according to the company."
Truth or BS? :?

No evidence of a sales increase (in fact evidence of a decrease) through Diamond so unless Valiant is suddenly big in japan I'm going to say DMG have started to use the fake news tactic on us

It makes no sense that digital sales go up when the leading channel is dropping

Please explain.

Foreshadowing my next question:

Are you about to try to reason that whatever future event to which you have alluded will render impossible the truth of a past event?

We don't know what they're considering comic sales. They could be including trade paperbacks. Since there's a growing number of those to buy, with them collecting almost everything, the rise in sales may just be due to their being more material, new and existing, for a reader to pick up. It makes sense that they would have added new readers for existing material with the movie news.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Question: Do publishers sell more TPBs or more comics?

In units, the Comichron numbers would indicate that they sell more floppies, at least for new releases. But:
• Valiant only sells TPBs at conventions (with the exception of whatever convention exclusive they have available), and those are not included in Comichron numbers
• Floppies are only available for a month, whereas TPBs are continuously available

The numbers for floppy sales are down, if Comichron numbers at least consistently vary from the "real" sales numbers. But perhaps the sales of trades are up enough, especially with the number of unique trades available constantly growing? I wouldn't expect this to be permanent trend, though, especially as dwindling monthly sales numbers indicate a lack of growing interest in general in Valiant's output.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.
