Bloodshot Sequel in the Works With Vin Diesel Returning
DMG Entertainment creative head and filmmaker Dan Mintz confirmed plans for a Bloodshot sequel with Vin Diesel reprising his role.
The cinematic adaptation of Bloodshot had the misfortune of opening just as movie theaters worldwide shut down in the face of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. However, a sequel is still in the cards.
Released on March 13, with many theater chains shutting down at the start of the following week, DMG Entertainment and Sony's adaptation of the popular Valiant Entertainment superhero was directly impacted by the move. Fortunately, the studios were able to pivot to a home video release within two weeks of Bloodshot's theatrical opening, moving to VOD platforms and streaming. This quick, adaptive shift proved to be a successful strategy for Valiant parent company DMG, with DMG Entertainment Creative Head and filmmaker Dan Mintz confirming plans for a sequel and expectations for Vin Diesel to reprise his role as the eponymous no-nonsense hero.

Re: Bloodshot II - Movie Announcement
Well, that is great news. I, for one, hope that it happens. I just wish there was an easier path to a shared Valiant movie universe that included all the characters. It still looks like Bloodshot kicks off the Valiant movies.... but won’t be immediately included in the Valiant movie universe.

Oh boy, another forgettable Vin Diesel movie to get lost in the crowd of Vin Diesel movies.

Re: Bloodshot II - Movie Announcement
In some ways I'm happy about this. The first flick was..... well what you've said here, but a sequel means they have a chance to take it to town and it also means that they might dig in on the Valiant IP's on film. Which means there is a shot at something great until their are signs that there isn't.
The first movie wasn't terrible or unwatchable by any means, but I honestly thought that was going to be it. If they stick to the core VH1 fundamentals and manage to get them on film, they might have something there.....

CBR:"[Are] Vin Diesel and all those people going to still continue?
MINTZ:Yes, because it did so well and the response to it has been so well.
Is that really confirmation? Idk. Seems like he’s assuming. Will see.

I imagine contracts are in place that bring Diesel back. Most movies like this, specifically ones now meant to launch universes, usually have like 3 solos and at least one team up in them.agent_graves wrote: ↑Mon Nov 09, 2020 8:42:35 pm CBR:"[Are] Vin Diesel and all those people going to still continue?

What I'm interested in is does Sony come back. Only DMG is talking continuing, which duh it's there property, so of course they want it to continue but will Sony back that play and if they do do they add or subtract from the budget.
While I enjoyed it in the throw back to early 2000's superhero movies I wonder if it would of done better had it stuck to it's original February release and competed against Sonic or at the very least been pulled early and shelved or sold to streaming instead of being sent out to die.

Re: Bloodshot II - Movie Announcement
Hopefully it will be better than the first one. I thought the first movie was a bit "meh". A 90 minute distraction that was the last movie I saw in theaters before everything shut down here just a couple days later.
More Valiant on the big screen and more exposure can only be a good thing.

I thought the first movie was pretty decent. Unbelievable bad luck that it was released as COVID hit. Someone on twitter said the rumour or a Bloodshot 2 was unfounded, so who knows!

I dunno, have you seen F8 OF THE FURIOUS? Im not sure I'm ever going to forget them jumping/crashing a car from skyscraper to skyscraper.
I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?

This is all lies
This is the only way Mintz can have Valiant in the mainstream news sites is to just make stuff up. All he is trying to do is keep Valiant and the IP's relevant in any way possible.
Nothing in this is correct or happening.
Mintz isn't even a good liar we should all know this by now.

Good God you might've been better off working for POTUS. But did she have a part in it? Or would that have been a story trope? Also, I think Armus still sends tweets.... which seems about right.Chiclo wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:06:34 pmI wonder if Troi ever felt guilt over her part in Tasha’s death.IMJ wrote: ↑Thu Nov 12, 2020 4:43:40 pmGood God you might've been better off working for POTUS. No, no, no all of the history was revised on Discovery which means that all Star Trek statues should be torn down because the Enterprise C is a symbol of revisionist history that forgets the exploits of the Enterprise B. And that is the problem with this country - the starships are a symbol of whiteness and they should be cancelled because Star Trek starships are white. And then income inequality will be reduced because more people will have different starships and can fly through space according to real history al;ksjvq;newrv o;p[3n co[13kn13knirogm
