What's the best way to read 90s Valiant material?

Post by Coffee »

I was digging in some dollar bins at my LCS and found a LOT of 90s Valiant floppies. I may come back for them later, but I'm honestly unsure what the best way to gather up the 90s material is. I already have the Solar – Alpha/Omega, X-O Manowar, and Unity Saga trade paperbacks. That said, I'm curious what the thoughts are from veterans here.

Thanks.

Relatively few of the 90s era floppies have been collected in trades, at least officially produced trades. In a few cases, the trades are worth more than the issues they collect. Most of the best material was never collected in trades or has yet to be collected in the newer masters series. To my understanding, the Valiant Magnus, Solar and Turok cannot be republished.

Floppies are about the only way to read most of the comics.

Unfortunately, it takes VEI forever (and beyond) to publish more Classic Omnibus hardcovers.

My fat fingers hit trades instead of floppies when I voted. Sorry if I skew the results. Agree with everyone else-floppies are the way to go for 90’s content.

There are a few omnibuses, but yes, if you want to read most of the material, floppies are the only way to go.

Most of them are available in digital collections as well. I know Humble Bundle has done quite a few Valiant sales in the past. That was the old days though so I’m not sure if that happens again.
