Valiant Solicitation(s) for January 2022

Post by Sunlight on Snow »

Only 2 books as usual:

- Shadowman #5 (Jan-19)
The "Deadside War" begins with another beautiful horror movie homage cover (B)!

- The Harbinger #4 (Jan-26)
Do I spot a Flamingo on Cover B?!
Obviously someone is messing with Pete's mind (while he's trying to be better).

Plus:

- Rai (2019) Deluxe Edition (Feb-9 or later)
Collecting everything incl. FW, The History of the VU, and the FCBD prologue.

:hope: for more Dan Abnett!

No X-O in January?
… hiatus?
Or did it end in December?

Love the look of that horror homage cover nod to The Thing for Shadowman #5 - I shall be getting that one for sure!

Some clues to character appearances hidden in the indicia text on there too :thumb:

Seems to just be the thing they’re doing right now - going on hiatus between story arcs on all their titles. Who knows how long before they do decide on another tired re-launch #1 again - probably not long…

The solicitation for issue #9 says it's "the epic conclusion of Dennis Hopeless and Emilio Laiso's X-O MANOWAR run."

Hopefully, #Hopeless & Laiso will never work on another Valiant story again. :hope:

How can any run that doesn't reach double digits be "epic"?
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Not to be that guy, but I am going to be that guy.

well actually if you will notice, they say that the conclusion will be epic, not the run.

That reminds me of Akklaim and the distant fart at midnight.
