When a new "ERROR COMIC" is discovered... How does CGC label
Can we discuss the process that happens when a newly discovered "error" of a modern comic is sent in for CGC grading please?
So, when the very first error comic of that particular issue is sent in; How does CGC handle and label that very first one?
1) Does CGC have to verify and research that the error is authentic?
2) Does CGC have to recognize the error on the label of the comic?
3) If CGC does recognize the error... Do they simply recognize it by putting the word "Error" on the label? or, Do they have to describe what the error is on the label?
4) Does CGC keep track of the number of Error comics in their Registry?
Thanks for your input.

CGC probably gets informed about new publishing errors all the time, but most errors are never corrected, so there is only one "version" of most error books.
As a result, CGC may reach out to Valiant to confirm that the error was identified and corrected by the publisher, so that there are definitely two versions in existence.
CGC normally gives a "green label" to books which were sent to the printer correctly, but the printing error occurred in the line of production (miscut, misaligned, missing ink, etc.).
CGC normally gives a "blue label" to books which were sent to the printer incorrectly, such as books which have the wrong information inside (possibly also recalled) and corrected with another version.
For Valiant, a good example from "old Valiant" is Magnus #57, which has blue labels for both the error and the corrected versions.
A good example from "new Valiant" is Rai #2 Mask cover, which has blue labels for both the error and the corrected versions.

Interesting. So the new error that you have with X-O #1 2nd Print (error says 1st print inside cover) would probably garner a "blue label."
I am guessing that blue label errors are more desirable than green for Valiant?
It is confusing to me that Bloodshot 0 Platinum Error gets a blue label (since it was a lack of gold ink applied that just didn't cover the platinum color underneath). There really wasn't anything done differently to the book (just a lack of color).
However, if a comic is severely mis-cut in production it would garner a green label?
Is there anyway to look up (and read about...or possibly even view Valiant blue or green error comics in the CGC census or another log?
