Long time listener, first time caller
I found this site years ago and love that there is such a spirited community of Valiant faithful. I stumbled across Valiant just when Unity was ending. My family traveled through Atlanta a lot and there use to be a book store that my parents like to go to that had a comic book downstairs. It was like heaven for my brother and I. Once while there I saw this comic Unity #1 and there was a sign that said "One Per Customer" so I picked it up. We were on our way to New York and I I couldn't stop reading it. The thing I found most fascinating was the timeline on the back cover. I had never read a comic like it before and I couldn't wait to track down the other pieces. Unfortunately, this was when Valiant comics were going for far more than what I could pay but as luck would have it I found a store in NY that had all their Unity issue on sale and I was able to purchase a few. I was hooked and over the years I've built up a modest collection of mostly early Valiant. I've been out of comics for awhile (aside from raiding quarter/dollar bins for Valiant) but I'm on board with the new Valiant.

It was in the Scarsdale/Hartsdale area. My grandparents lived in Scarsdale near downtown Hartsdale.
