My valiant story!
hello im michael and im 21 and im a alcoho....
ha that ain't the right way to start this i was completely kidding about the drinking lol
Anyway's it all started when a close friend of mine was buying independent comic's
i only collected DC at the time and shadowman #1 came out the blackout pull-box variant
it pulled me cause in 8th grade my ex-girlfriend gave a piece of paper with black tape over it. it reminded me of that so instantly i felt nostalgic
but when i kept reading shadowman wasn't my cup of tea and i seen a archer and Armstrong preview in the back
The boon.. speaking of immortality.. gods.. i had to instantly collect archer and Armstrong.
soon followed harbinger, x-o manowar and bloodshot each bringing something new to the table i have not read or felt like "yeah thats like superman" or "thats something spider-man would do" i think everything really original.
alittle comic backround started reading comics 2 years ago. kinda a newb still trying to expand my horizons to other comic company's other than DC and currently creating a comic of my own.
i now collect animal man, swampthing, green lantern (corp and new guardians as well), harbinger, saga, revival, x-o manowar, bloodshot, ursa minor, critter, archer and armstrong, all-star western, batman and robin, justice league, justice league dark, I,Vampire and Dial H.

ha thank you for the welcome and yeah i ended up meeting tom Hutchinson at a convention in Illinois he gave me the graphic novel with critters 2011 comics with her one-shot/ #0 comic for ten bucks and his other 4 one-shots for 5 dollars.
he even signed the graphic novel for me and i got hooked its different and thats what i look for.
i dont want to read green lantern for the rest of my life not saying it bad but i want to expand

The characters and concepts are pretty similar but the stories are very different.jenkinsMachine wrote:thanks for the welcome lets start discussing some archer and armstrong or something im new to valiant haven't read 1992 stuff

The first Archer and Armstrong series only ran for 26 issues (I guess issue 0 makes 27) and the 0 to 12 run is very good.

Re: My valiant story!
very cool and im really hoping everybody is up to date on A&A if there here sorry for spoiler..
well i notice there was a geomancer comic and is the geomancer a part of A&A original story line?
or are they trying to introduce characters in other titles hoping for spin offs? same with ninjak?
i think both of those characters do have the potential for their own comics

Re: My valiant story!
They are introducing other characters in books now (Ninjak in X-O, Eternal Warrior and Geomancer in A&A) with plans to eventually release some of them in their own titles. I think the plan is to build up their fan base first.jenkinsMachine wrote:very cool and im really hoping everybody is up to date on A&A if there here sorry for spoiler..
