almost 34 years old, been collecting comics off and on since about '88 or '89 or so. Bought some of the older Valiants in the early nineties and I remember them being decent back then, though I jumped right in the middle. Didn't read them for long.

Recently came back to comics after almost a 15 year absence. I read the first few issues of Bloodshot initially and was so impressed I spent more money than my wife should know about on almost all the back issues of the current Valiant Universe. Looking forward to getting them in and reading them all!

So far, of the little I have read, Bloodshot really appeals to me - hence the name and avatar :) I am also propositioning my LCS to try a Free View thing, using the upcoming $1 Editions of the #1s.

Now I need to go snap up all the old ones for cheap so I can read them!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Welcome! My wife caught up with my spending pretty quickly. Now, she has me on a budget!

Have fun collecting all the back issues. The best advice I can give you, since I am a new collector and my journey is almost complete, is to view Greg's "Comics" covers on the main website. I printed out every title that I wanted to collect and I carry them with me when I visit the comic book stores and conventions. You always know if you are buying the right issue and if you are paying a fair price. What a great resource! You can even print out all the Gold issues, etc.

Best of luck!

Michael

Welcome! I could comment on the struggle to obfuscate comic spending from your wife, but I can't have any incriminating evidence of my spending habits surface on the web. I leave only trails that disappear in a wisp of smoke
