My Valiant Story

Post by Uncle Yusuf »

I became a Valiant reader at the end of last month when I saw an advertisement for X-O Manowar written by Robert Venditti. I was influenced to pick up the book because I'm a huge fan of DC's Demon Knights and I really love Venditti's run on it so far. Recently, I was disappointed to hear that Demon Knights was being cancelled, so it was even more incentive for me to pick up the entire run of X-O Manowar so far. I liked it so much that I wound up getting every issue of all of the titles Valiant has put out so far. I've already read the first 13 issues of X-O Manowar, the first 7 issues of Shadowman, the first 5 issues of Harbinger, and the first 4 issues of Bloodshot. Although I have all the issues of Archer and Armstrong out so far, I've yet to read them due to time constraints. Hopefully, I'll have finished them by next week. Needless to say, I'm quite satisfied with my purchases as I feel each of the issues Valiant has put out has been worth my hard earned money. Make mine Valiant!

Welcome again, Uncle Yusuf! Proper welcome this time!

X-O is a great place to start. It's really fun here, and there's a great sense of community. My advice for reading Archer and Armstrong. Don't stop until you get to #4. The rest after that are great, but 1-3 weren't doing much for me on my first read through. Archer and Armstrong #4 is still one of the best issues of VEI.

Welcome!

Don't get spoiled having so many new Valiant books to read.

We're currently in the middle of two weeks of "no new books" and I think we're starting to have withdrawals. :kidaround:
