My "Valiant story"

Post by retrovideogameaddict »

Well, prepare for a short story here because my time with Valiant has been short having jumped on the re-launch after seeing some amazing art in X-O Manowar and Harbinger previews. I picked those books up and completely fell in love with them and have been following the line since the first issue of X-O last spring/summer. I never read Valiant back in the day aside from owning a couple issues of Turok and Solar that I got out of a bargain bin in 1995, but none of those characters really impressed me and I'm glad they're not a part of the new Valiant line. I did try some of the older Valiant comics last year when I got into the "VEI" launch and didn't really like them much either, I guess I'm a "Nu-Valiant" kind of guy and I have got to say that the current books are of some of the best quality I've seen in comic book in several years. Maybe since the late 90's and early 2000's when I was heavy into Image and Crossgen, or when I was in love with the X-Men in the mid 90's. I just love these new Valiant books and am thirsting for more, luckily it appears as if more is on the platter for the upcoming year with Unity and Eternal Warrior!

Cheers!
