The guy who had the Yellow #1 that I bought also had Yellow #2 and Yellow #3.Jay Tomio wrote:Zeph might be tracking this better than me (which is to say he's tracking them at all) but perhaps some residuals reaction from recent sales of the black?Squirrel wrote:did you see the blue ashcan that was all messed up on the cover go for almost $30 (before shipping)
The blues seems very easy to acquire. I've got a few thrown (or rather discussed and added) in on various ashcans purchases I have bought for next to nothing in ultra pimp grade
...and somebody give me a Yellow!
He said "you should have asked when you bought the #1!"
I was like "um....YOU had the books, why didn't you tell me?"
Oh well.

I've made this point from now on (asking sellers about duplicate issues, not just regarding maxx ashcans)...However these people found out about these ashcans when they came out were smart enough to collect several of them.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:The guy who had the Yellow #1 that I bought also had Yellow #2 and Yellow #3.Jay Tomio wrote:Zeph might be tracking this better than me (which is to say he's tracking them at all) but perhaps some residuals reaction from recent sales of the black?Squirrel wrote:did you see the blue ashcan that was all messed up on the cover go for almost $30 (before shipping)

It seems most of the harder to find ashcans were from people that had several different ones including the easier to find blues/reds. The big deduction I come up with is that it's very unlikely we'll find single ashcans just lying around (aside from a number 1 blue) like you might find a CEAR in a 50 cent bin. Seems like they were either collected or thrown out, the actual existing numbers is probably much lower than the printed issues.....I might have to turn it up a notch and start looking even harder.

The big deduction I come up with is that it's very unlikely we'll find single ashcans just lying around (aside from a number 1 blue) like you might find a *Chaos Effect Alpha Red (C.E.A.R.)* in a 50 cent bin. I was very, very disappointed to find out that the Yellow #2 and #3 were right under my nose and never knew it....plus the #2 red and #3 blue that I needed. That's 4 of the 5 I needed.
Ah well....the important thing is, I still have 7 nuclear warheads in my arsenal to trade....I'm thinking someone will be more than happy to trade a Black #2 for those four.
And yes, I doubt we'll ever find any of these in a 50 cent bin. The 50 or so various copies I got I bought all at the same time, from Jay Company, in '02-'03, who had gotten them directly from either Keith or the Image office (I'm thinking Keith.)

He's kind of slippery that way....
Oh, and no answer from Grunt-Splatter on what he sold his other Yellows for. I dunno why. It's not like it's a national secret.
One of you wanna try?
