Original Editorial Cartoon Art from 1942 - WWII Uncle Sam

Post by hulk181man »

I just listed this original art on Ebay. It's WWII themed and highly patriotic, circa 1942:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/152264284489?ss ... 1555.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I may be asking too high a starting price. But the only pages I can find from Cy Hungerford on the internet are all from a cartoon gallery in London in the $400-$750 range. Lmk what you guys think...I'll post this on the CGC boards as well.

Scroll to page 16...
"Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts...?"

Great original art! I'd love to own a piece like this, but can't justify the price. I don't think you're off on the price though, you need to find the right collector. This is something a WWII propaganda art collector will jump on.
