Well, I was browsing eBay as I often do, and saw a CGC 9.8 Signature Series (Shooter) Harbinger #0 (Blue) up for auction. I do not own a signed copy, and it took me a few attempts to score a 9.8 in the first place, so I figure I would bid $150 and call it a day.

Soon enough, the other bidder retracted his/her bid, and I ended up winning the auction at just over $50!

Say what you will, but that’s a STEAL!

Same seller has a second copy up for auction now.

I found two pre-Unity issues and an Armorines Fall Fling at my LCS 6/$5 sale this weekend.

How is that possible?

I know you are an expert in these books, but for the new guys I'll ask if the Armorines #0 Fall Fling has the Timewalker ad on the back cover?

I will also ask if the pre-Unity books were exciting like Rai #3 or less exciting like Magnus #14? :D

It's not Valiant, but I picked up a MIB wave 1 Legends Stealth Armor Iron Man at the Chicago Toy Show for 15 bucks. I might be living in the past a bit when that was a $100 chase figure, but there was no way I wasn't going to buy it. I've only ever had 1 and it cost me twenty bucks back when new Legends were 7.99 and before the feeding frenzy kicked in around 2005. I'll probably open this one and throw it in my loose set.

I just won an auction for the Eternal Warrior Days of Steel 1 1:50 sketch cover 9.6 for $20 shipped. Sort of bananas. It's the single 9.6 graded, with nothing else higher. I haven't been able to find a raw anywhere near that grade, so while the 9.8s are selling at record highs, I'm super excited to get this diamond in the rough for less than $4 plus shipping.

Geez, that’s an incredible deal. And had my son not been playing with my phone and ignoring notifications, one of us might have payed a lot more for that book!

I did snatch it away in time to pick up that minty set of raw Q&W Acclaim paperbacks for $14.50 shipped. Does anyone know if they would be worth anything if graded?

If you get 9.8s, you will get very attractive prices from me for sure!

The photos look pretty well. I actually have all 4 in 9.8 already. I think, the last time I checked, most of them were the only ones?! I wouldn’t even mind if they don’t arrive in at least NM+, I’d love to have reading copies. I think they had additional material otherwise not presented elsewhere, right?

Got these this weekend out of a $2.00 bin. I was surprised to see the Rai and the Future Force #9 V.V.S.S., Acclaim Bloodshots 1A, 1B (painted cover), 3, and NewsStand Birthquake Bloodshots. Anyone know anything about the Harbinger Renegades/SAVAGE ashcan (the cover is red)? Are these VEI Ashcans pretty limited or not?

Some nice books there for sure! I believe the Harbinger Renegades/Savage Ashcan books were handed out at a Convention.

If you have this Bloodshot book, it is worth around $25.00 to $30.00:

Bloodshot (1993-1996) 32 $2.50 Cover Price Newsstand

The Newsstand $2.50 cover price books have some value and I have found a couple of those in the wild. Cool find! :thumb:

Mkb28,

Are you talking about the Bloodshot Reborn #1 ashcan being worth $25-30? Or was there possibly a 2012 Bloodshot ashcan that you are referencing?

Mkb28,
As far as the above Bloodshot News Stand editions...
Issues #32 and #35 have $2.50 price tags. However, the issue #33 has a $2.25 price tag for some reason.

I really don’t know much about the News Stand editions (these are the first I have owned) other than they were probably handled more than the direct sales editions?

Hello Juki:

Check out the Price Guide to see the difference between the Direct and Newsstand editions. Here is the link:

http://www.valiantpriceguide.com/issue/show/b32ns

If you have the $2.50 cover price Newsstand Edition, that book is more valuable than the $2.25 Direct Edition. Hope this helps.

Ok... from what I see in the Price Guide... only issues 30, 31, and 32 had a different price tag variation of $2.50. It seems that all other issues with NewsStand editions had the regular price tag of $2.25.

Yes, those three issues with the $2.50 Newsstand cover price have more value than the regular Direct books, from my understanding. There are collectors out there who are interested in the Newsstand versions, especially Bloodshot 30, 31, and 32.

X-O Manowar #43 is another example:

http://www.valiantpriceguide.com/issue/show/x43ns

I have found a few of these out in the wild. Nice find! :thumb:

Not valiant, but just brought Captain Atom 2-57 for 10p each = £5.70, and to complete the set I went on ebay and got issue 1 (£3.50)
So I got complete run of Captain Atom 57 issue for less than £10

Am pretty happy.

Cannot remember if I shared this or not (last year)
Also brought orgiinal magnus robot fighter 0-30. Harbinger 0-25, Full Run of Rai, bloodshot 1-20 and some other newer valiant comics, along with random stuff to fill up on of those extra long long boxes for £100
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

That's awesome! I've wondered how good the stories were in that run. I hope you give us a review when you can.
